Casting call for comedic detective character

Casting call for comedic detective character

Project Overview

I am writing an audio show for youtube. The show is called Second Hand Detectives. Its about twin private investigators who solve small cases that the police are too busy to solve. but really the show is mostly the main characters (Edgar and Lanore) annoying their boss, Boston. This project is a recast for the character of Edgar, i am having trouble contacting the first actor so I will have this up so that if i need to recast then i will have people to choose from quickly. This show is intended for a teen and young adult audience, there is a lot of vulgare language and conversations, so your character will be saying some wild stuff. (nothing incredibly offensive though)

Edgar is a man who meets everything with a blank expression and a dry or sarcastic tone. He seems like he’s more reasonable than his sister, Lanore, but really he’s still chaotic he just in a more subtle way. He talks with a dry tone, not overly monotone but like whatever weird thing is happening he has seen before. think of detectives on tv shows and how they are calm and composed during a crime scene, but instead that composure is used to deliver funny lines. (he is a 26 year old, white male)

  • yeah, we ran into each other there, we had a bunch of hilarious antics, you should have been there

  • that was not a save, that was the exact conversation i was going for. throwing a basketball directly into a hoop is not a save

  • he wanted to piss on you, apparently
