Casting Call for Christian Audio Devotional: God Time, A Simple Way to Have God Time Every Day

Casting Call for Christian Audio Devotional: God Time, A Simple Way to Have God Time Every Day

Project Overview

God Time Audio Devotionals! We make it easy to get your daily God Time.

Looking for a narrator for a new and unique audio devotional.

Every other audio devotional on the market is either 1-3 minutes long, or between 15 minutes and an hour long. These devotionals are more like lectures or sermons, and are not very good at letting a person think and meditate actively.

Each episode of this devotional will be 10 minutes long, focus primarily on listener introspection and meditation, and focus around a theme verse. To start out, a small number of episodes will be produced, with more coming over time.

Access to the episodes will be given to the narrator.

RULES:

1. Please have a good microphone (No headsets or laptop mics, please. XLR mics and USB mics preferred.)

2. Know how to adjust your levels. (I shouldn't have to turn my volume ALL the way up just to hear you, nor should I blow out my ear drums listening to your audition!)

3. Don't breathe into the mic! Likewise, don't have tons of static in your audio.

4. Turn your files in on time!

The narrator is a wise, patient man. His voice is calm and soothing, but contains a deeper hint of resolve and determination. He is an orator, with vocal highs and low, periods of softly spoken phrases and firmly pronouced declarations.

He isn't trying to lecture at the listener, he is trying to use his wisdom to guide the listener to solve problems themselves.

His periods of silence are calming, and lead to self-reflection. Meditative. He comes out of periods of silence smoothly, guiding the listener along.

He has a medium to a deeper range. I'm not opposed to a natural british or european accent, but a regular north american accent is fine as well.

  • INTRODUCTION:

Welcome to God Time, the only audio devotional to guide you through scripture, prayer, and meditation in just 10 minutes per day.

Let’s take a moment. Take a few deep breaths, in through the nose and out through the mouth. Allow your mind to become aware of all the things that you are thankful for today. As you continue to breathe in and out, with each breath in, think of a way that you have been blessed, a thing to be thankful for.

  • MIDDLE:

A living sacrifice isn’t a small thing. It isn’t a one time thing, and it isn’t a partial thing. Being a living sacrifice requires continual commitment. Think about how your life would change if you offered yourself to God every day as a living sacrifice.

Is it an exchange you are willing to make? For all the mercy God has given you, are you willing to offer yourself to Him, in your entirety? Jesus said, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.”

  • CLOSING:

Take these final moments and offer yourself to God. Commit to following him today. Don’t worry about tomorrow, take up your cross today and offer yourself to God as a living sacrifice today.

The narrator is a wise, patient woman. Her voice is calm and soothing, but contains a deeper hint of resolve and determination. She is an orator, with vocal highs and low, periods of softly spoken phrases and firmly pronouced declarations.

She isn't trying to lecture at the listener, she is trying to use her wisdom to guide the listener to solve problems themselves. Very loving and motherly/grandmotherly.

Her periods of silence are calming, and lead to self-reflection. Meditative. She comes out of periods of silence smoothly, guiding the listener along.

I'm not opposed to a natural british or european accent, but a regular north american accent is fine as well.
