Cargo - Science Fiction/Thriller Machinima
Project Overview
Cargo is a short science fiction thriller about Jeff Davis, a long-haul truck driver nearing retirement who accepts one final job transporting a sealed government trailer to a military base.
The assignment comes with strict instructions. Jeff cannot disconnect from the trailer, must report in at regular intervals, and is forbidden from opening it. As the trip continues, the roads grow quieter and the events surrounding him become harder to explain. With no clear way to abandon the job, Jeff begins to question what he is carrying and whether he will reach his destination.
This is an animated machinima production. All we ask is that actors audition using a clean, professional-quality microphone in a quiet recording space.

A stranger Jeff encounters on an isolated stretch of highway. He speaks calmly and seems to know personal details about Jeff that he should have no way of knowing. His presence becomes more unsettling as the trip continues.

Voice Actor
A government official responsible for overseeing the transport and recovery of the cargo. Travers is experienced and comfortable giving orders in dangerous situations. The character treats the events surrounding the trailer as part of a larger operation that remains classified.

Lastly, under any circumstances, You are not permitted to open the trailer. In fact, there’s a biometric lock that can only be accessed by authorized personnel.
Voice Actor
A senior government official assigned to speak with Jeff about his transport assignment. Stevenson maintains control of the conversation and expects direct answers. The role calls for a steady voice and a professional presence that can carry quiet authority.

He has an easy familiarity with Jeff and initially treats his concerns as road fatigue. The performance should feel casual and believable, then shift into genuine concern when Jeff suddenly appears to be in danger.
