Bully (Canis Canem Edit) - Full Fandub
Project Overview
This is a full fandub of the video game, Bully, also known as Canis Canem Edit in some countries. There are lots of characters in this game, however since we'll only be dubbing the cutscenes, only those who appear in the cutscenes will be dubbed. Don't let this put you off though; there are plenty of characters to choose from, and as there's lots it's quite likely that you'll receive more than one role depending on how many people audition, so by all means feel free to audition for as many as you want.
This will be a dub of the Scholarship Edition, so characters who are exclusive to this version (i.e. Miss Peters, Rudy, etc.) will be dubbed too.
I try not to be too picky with rules, but here's the two most important ones:
1. You must be fully committed to this project. I'll be casting (especially for the more minor roles) as we go along, and as there's a lot of cutscenes to dub this would make sense. Please be reliable with your lines. If you take too long (i.e. more than two weeks) I might have to recast your roles.
2. Please have decent microphone quality. So no background noises, no mouse clicks, and please speak clearly when recording. Also please try to get your lines in sync as much as possible.
Don't worry too much about sounding like the original voice actor. This is not an imitation project. The images of the characters may help give a rough idea on what to make them sound like.
There is a link to all the cutscenes from the game below. All characters' lines are taken from the cutscenes. This may help in terms of getting syncing correct, etc.

Dr. Watts is the Chemistry teacher. Edna has a crush on him, though he doesn't know it. He is quite forgetful.

Miss Danver's is Dr. Crabblesnitch's seretary. She dislikes students and often makes announcements over the school intercom. It is implied that she has a crush on Dr. Crabblesnitch, at the very least.

Mr. Galloway is the English teacher at Bullworth Academy, and one of the nicer teachers. He takes a good liking to Jimmy and is in love with Ms. Phillips, who returns her afections. Unfortunately he is also drunk, and Mr. Hattrick tries to suspend him.
Aaah, Jimmy. No, I'm not OK. I'm half-drunk, and about to get fired. Fantastic! I'm a washed-up old drunk, and I'm only 34. English, you see, is a very difficult subject to teach. I've tried any number of things to dull the pain - yoga, meditation, needle point, looking at dubious sites on the internet. But nothing dulls the pain like Scotch.
Ms. Phillips, she's asked me... me, of all people... she... can you believe... she's asked me on a date!

Earnest is the leader of the Nerds. He is initially on Jimmy's side until Gary manipulates him later in the game. He is intelligent, but Gary easily manipulates him. He has a strong rivalry with the Jocks and plans to get even with them. He also has a dirty mind as he tends to read dirty magazines.
(To Jimmy) Johnny and his goons were hassling me about Algie. That guy's gone even crazier! He thinks Algie's trying to put the moves on his girl.
I've had friends like you - the kind who treat you like dog muck on their shoes. No thanks, bud. It's my brains against your brawn. Welcome to hell, Jimmy Hopkins!
(To Jimmy) The Jocks are coming! To kill us! Oh, thanks to you and your sordid little pictures...
Pinky is a very spoilt, rich girl and the sole female member of the Preppies. She is betrothed to Derby, who is her cousin, and believes she is a princess. She also hates when her dates are late.
Hey, Jimmy Hopkins! (Beat) No, I'm Pinky, but I know all about you. Everybody's talking about you. Everybody says that you're mean, and angry, and you like fighting. Gary said you're so mad because you're sexually confused.
(To Jimmy) I'm a princess! And I need people to do things for ME! So hurry up, because I want to be FIRST!
(About Derby) Three minutes! What does he think I am, a tramp? Ugh. I hope something important happened - like he's dead - because otherwise there's no excuse.
Edna is the cook who is often disliked amongst the students, however Jimmy likes her and vice versa. She spits in people's food, including Mr. Hattrick's at Jiimmy's request.
Note: Similar kind of voice to Lunchlady Doris from The Simpsons.

Ted is the leader of the Jocks. He is the Quarterback of the football team, is dating Mandy, and often makes "your mom" jokes.. Despite being the leader of his clique, he has a very small role in the game and has very little screen time.
(Mocking Jimmy) "Ooh, I'm really scared right now, I'm really scared!" I take down linebackers every day, pal!
(Agreeing with an idea) Yeah, dude! Take a dump on the doorstep!
Bif is Derby's second in command, often seen as his bodyguard due to his size and the fact that he is the best boxer amongs the Preppies. Unlike most of the other Preppies, he does not speak in a fake British accent.

Lola is the only girl in the Greasers. She is Johnny's girlfriend, and he won't let anyone forget that. Although she loves Johnny, she constantly sees other boys behind his back. She is also a bit of an attention-seeking drama queen at times.
(To Jimmy, fake-crying) That's not fair! I'm a nice girl. I'm nice to everyone. Now, everyone hates me.
Oh, I love it when you get angry, Johnny. I really do. You're so.... beastial.
(To Jimmy) I'm Helen of Troy, and you're more interested in... boys called Troy!
Pete is a shy boy and is often Gary's main target. He wears a pink shirt and is smaller than most kids his age. He quickly becomes friends with Jimmy and remains loyal to him even when the other kids turn against him. In return Jimmy often sticks up for him.
(Introducing himself to Jimmy) Hey, how you doing? You must be the new kid. I'm Pete. Pete Kowalski.
(To Jimmy) Well, for one moment I had friends. Just one moment. You and Gary. Yeah, Gary's a snake, and you're a psychopath, and you both bullied me mercilessly, but at least I wasn't left out. Now I'm back on my own and I'm too cool to be a dork, and I'm too dorky to be anything else.
(To Jimmy) Well, it ain't over yet. God, one minor setback and you're acting like a baby. ...You're pathetic.
Gary is the main antagonist. He suffers from ADD and used to take medication, but stops taking it about halfway through Chapter 1. He has an obsession with ruling the school and often pretends to be people's friend, Jimmy included, only to betray them later. During the course of the game, he convinces the other students to turn against Jimmy.
(To Pete) Heh, look at you! "Leave me alone, Gary, I'm finally self important now that I've finally hit puberty!" What's your problem? I'm just being nice to the new kid as he passes through Bullworth on his inevitable journey to prison.
(To Jimmy) Listen to me, tough guy. You just arrived at the toughest school in the country, and I'm offering to be your friend. Trust me, in a place like this, you're gonna need friends.So it's up to you. You gonna play nice, or what?
(To Jimmy) The Head likes me! I tied him up, turned his dumb school into a battleground, got kids expelled - unfairly -, put several others into therapy, and he still likes me!
Mr. Hattrick is the Math teacher, and not a nice person at all. His main victim is Mr. Galloway, who he tries to get fired for drinking.
School rules are quite clear on this subject. Quite clear. No alcohol on school grounds! You're drunk. I can smell it on your breath.. I CAN SEE IT IN YOUR EYES!
You know, he drinks on school grounds. Thinnk of the children, Dr. Crabblesnitch.
Jimmy is the main protagonist of the game. Having being expelled from several schools for bad behaviour, he is dropped off at Bullworth Academy by his mother and stepfather. He has a short temper, but overall a good heart. His main intention is to gain the respect of his fellow students.
(Narration) So here I am, at probably the worst school in the country, whose alumni are nothing but arms dealers, serial killers and corporate lawyers. Real scum. And that old creep thinks he can tame me? We shall see, my friend. I only give people what they have coming to them.
(Introducing himself to Pete) Jimmy Hopkins, and don't ask how I'm doing. I've been here five minutes and already people want me dead. Even my parents didn't hate me this quickly!
(To Russell) I want you to stop bullying weak kids. (beat) Because there are a bunch of kids around this place who need a beating and you're picking on the few that don't. So I want you to leave me and him alone.
Chad, like most Preppies, is a keen boxer and speaks in a fake British accent.

Dr. Crabblesnitch is the no-nonsense Principal at Bullworth Academy. He is somewhat obsessed with the cleanliness of Jimmy's nose.
You keep that nose clean, boy, or I shall clean it myself!
Well, Jimmy, word on the street is you're something of a pugilist. (Beat) And that you've been saying some entertaining things about me and some barnyard animals!
Yes, you are, without a doubt, the least popular boy in this school right now. Even that fat child who wets himself is more popular than you.
Ms. Phillips is the Art and Photography teacher, and arguably the hotttest female teacher at Bullworth Academy. Several students, Jimmy included, have the hots for her, while she herself is in love with Mr. Galloway and cares deeply for him. She is generally a nice person and likes Jimmy.
(Laughing, somewhat flirty) I'm in love, Jimmy, and I want to make tonight very special. Would you mind going to collect a few things, while I work my muse out?A dress, some perfume, and my pearl necklace from the jewellers. Not oo much... I must look my best tonight.
(To Galloway about Jimmy) This boy is an angel! He's been magnificent. And he is so cute!
(To Jimmy about Galloway) He's a drunk! Stupid man couldn't control himself. Damn him! I love him! But that wretched ogre Hattrick guilt-tripped him into committing himself into the asylum to get dried out.
Derby is the leader of the Preppies. He is a very spoilt, snobby, arrogant rich boy. He also likes to manipulate people, though not as much as Gary.
Note: His name is pronounced "Darby".
(To Jimmy) You disgust me. It takes more than victory to become a champion. It takes breeding, and nepotism, and snobbery. You filthy democrat. Gentlemen, are we going to let some gutter-snipe come in and beat up our friend, Bif?
(To Jimmy) Listen, "boss". Those grease monkeys are making life very difficult for Gord. (Beat) Some leader you turned out to be. Father says leadership is about looking after those you lead. He taught me that right before he laid everyone off.
You, my friend, have got delusions of grandeur. Nobody cares about you or Gary. You're ridiculous. Come on, Bif. Let's leave this "king of the school" to his little fantasies.
Mr. Burton is the Gym teacher at Bullworth Academy. He is very strict and shouts a lot. He s also considered inappropriate; he hit on Zoe which resulted in her getting expelled. He also reads dirty magazines.

Edgar is the leader of the Townies. He is a poor kid who, like Jimmy, was double-crossed by Gary.
(To Jimmy) Awww, man. I hate that school. My parents couldn't afford to send me there and now I'm stuck in this dump of a town. Gary said we'd make them all pay.
Hey, Jim, this is your turf. What the hell's going on? The whole place has gone mental.
Mandy is the head cheerleader and only female member of the Jocks, though some of the non-clique girls are also on the cheerleading squad. She is Ted's girlfriend and is obsessed with popularity, claiming that she is the most popular, best-looking girl in school. She is very bitchy and often bullies people, particularly Beatrice.
(To herself) Ah, much better. Now I'm ready to dazzle everyone with my charisma and popularity again.
(To Jimmy) There's posters of me all over town! (Beat) Now everyone thinks I'm a slut. Great. My parents will be so proud. I'll probably get expelled.
Dr. Slawter is the Biology teacher, who owns a prized plant and has a strong dislike towards Derby.

Miss Peters is the Music teacher, very free-spirited and hippy-like. Though generally nice, she has a stereotypical "sassy black woman" attitude.

Beatrice is the only female Nerd, and the first girl who is attracted to Jimmy (not counting Eunice who is Non-Clique). She is hoping to get into medical school, and she has a rivalry with both Mandy and Pinky, the former of whom often bullies her.
(To Jimmy) Please, will you help me? (Beat) Yes. It's vital. She's stolen my lab notes. Without them I'm gonna fail chemistry, and I'll never get into med school. Now I won't find the cure for cancer. Basically the future of the whole world rests on those notes!
(To Jimmy) OK, but if you don't, I'll tell the whole school you're some kind of sad sicko who spies on girls getting changed in their dorm.
Rudy is a hobo, clearly drunk, who believes he is Santa Claus, claiming that the "real" Santa is an impostor.

Zoe is a Townie girl who was recently expelled from Bullworth Academy after Mr. Burton hit on her. She befriends Jimmy when he too gets expelled and helps him out, eventually becoming his girlfriend.
(To Jimmy) Let's just say Mr. Burton is a dirty creep. (Beat) You know, he goes jogging every day and regularly uses the port-a-potties in the park. Yeah, so if w could catch him in one on top of a hill, then Mr. Burton can have a really interesting time in it.
Don't be ridiculous! Haven't you heard? (Beat) The school has broken out into a massive fight, every gang and faction is fighting each other...!
Other than Pete, Algie is the most bullied student at the school, due to his weight and the fact that he has a weak bladder.

Russell is the leader of the Bullies, and quite large. He loves picking on people and destruction. Despite being an antagonist in the first chapter, he later becomes a very loyal friend to Jimmy. He also is a bit childlike and tends to speak in third person a lot.
(To Jimmy) You're dead, new kid! Dead!
(To Edgar) Russell... likes to hurt people... for peace.
Johnny is the leader of the Greasers. He has a very short temper and is very obsessed with his girlfriend, Lola, despite her cheating on him constantly. He vows to get even with anyone who he finds out is seeing her behind his back. He later ends up in the asylum.
(To Jimmy) Don't play dumb with me. Have you had her? (Beat) I bet you have. Have you had her? (Beat) Lola! That slut! That slut... I love.
(To Lola) It didn't seem complicated between you and that Gordo kid! I'm gonna kill him!
Jimmy, you gotta get me out of here. You gotta get into the control room to open the door. Get an orderly uniform from the laundry room. The Dropouts set me up. What are you waiting for?
