BIONICLE: Quest for the Masks (A Gacha Club Movie)

Tahu (pronounced TAH-hoo) is the courageous Toa of Fire; he is guardian and master of heat. He is the de facto leader of the Toa, but also the fiercest and most feared. His flaming temper makes him hot headed and irrational at times, and he often jumps into a situation without thinking, getting himself and the other Toa into a predicament. His ideas sometimes clash with those of Kopaka, the Toa of Ice, however the two have a mutual respect for each other.

Pohatu (pronounced poh-HAH-too) is the mighty Toa of Stone. Always one of the friendlier of the Toa, Pohatu is always happy to see the team come together and put aside their internal fights. He is regarded as the most loyal and reliable team member, with such a good sense of humour that even Kopaka can't help liking him. Pohatu is also a fierce fighter, especially when he feels the weak are being threatened. He is always considerate and nice to fellow Toa, Turaga and Matron, and acts as somewhat of a consultant for the other Toa.

Note: although Kongu is canonically male, I have left the role open to both male and female actors since female actors, at least in my opinion, can do a very convincing "boy voice", and I didn't want any prospective female actors to be put off by the character's canonical gender)

Kongu (pronounced KONG-goo) is a Le-Matoran pilot and commander of the Gukko (pronounced GUH-koh) Air Force. He is a skilled weaver and mapmaker, as well as a disc throwing champion. Like many Le-Matoran, Kongu often uses humour to lighten up situations and remain focused.

(Note: Although Tamaru is canonically male, I have left the role open to both male and female actors, since female actors, at least in my personal opinion, can do very convincing "young boy" voices, and I didn't want any prospective female actors to be put off by the character's canonical gender.)

Tamaru (pronounced tah-MAH-roo) is a Le-Matoran navigator and friend of Kongu.  He is chief Kahu bird tamer and the left hand of Turaga Matau. Like most Le-Matoran, Tamaru is excitable and fast-talking - often to the point where even other Le-Matoran find it hard to understand him. He is exceptional in a couple of ways - he is afraid of heights which prevents him from being a Gukko pilot, but he is an excellent swimmer; most Le-Matoran are afraid of water.

Makuta is the spirit brother of Mata Nui; he grew envious of how the Matoran worshiped his brother's greatness, and so cast a spell that sent Mata Nui into an endless sleep. He now casts dark places and wicked beasts on the island, and reigns over all shadows and darkness. 

When the Toa descend under the Kini Nui to confront Makuta, he appears to them as a dark grey Matoran with yellow eyes, but his true appearance is much more frightening; no creature that speaks has seen Makuta's true form and lived to tell the tale.
