Being Normal: Part Two
Project Overview
The second part of the fan fiction audiobook series: Being Normal!
(view the first project here)
After the first five days of school, the students enjoy their weekend, whether it be returning to camp, traveling back home via magic rock, recruiting friends, or visiting the Empire State Building. Six new students have joined the school, who will study with their friends for the rest of the school year.

The original voice actor hasn't really turned in lines for a year, and left half a year ago. Unlike most other replacement roles, you don't really need to match the original. Up to interpretation!

Annabeth Chase from the PJO/HOO series. An important character everywhere. A blonde girl from California who is really smart. Think about it.
(discussing project) We could always strengthen the original columns. (chapter 33)
Nope. You're at school for a reason, so you have to do homework. By yourself. No cheating. (chapter 37)
Sadie Kane from the Kane Chrnoicles series. English accent is not required, though a light one would be nice. It is said that her accent is fading though she did grow up in England. Trying to match the original voice actress would be great, but not necessary.
Sadie Kane. No, I'm not his girlfriend, I'm his sister, for those of you that don't know. And my boyfriend goes to BAG in Brooklyn. (chapter 5)
Your arm moved, your leg wobbled there... really, are you trying to be seen? (chapter 10)
(enthusiastic) Nitwit! (chapter 30)
Rose Tyler from Doctor Who. Got voluntarily hit by a de-aging magic and now looks younger, but unfortunately, is attending school once again. I feel bad for her.

Actual: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KcwzZrlkYUs (she's the girl)
(incredulous) You're telling me Harry Potter is real? (chapter 8)
Sadie, everyone has invisible friends. (pause) Most people do. (chapter 47)
The original voice actor hasn't been responding to messages; so the role has been reopened! Listen to the original role and try to match the voice a little.

You'll have around 20 lines total (can request more), and a few improv lines.
Basically you throw these dodgeballs at the people on the other team. You can't go past the line in the middle, and if you are hit you are out and you sit over there. If you catch the ball, the person who threw it is out. (chapter 18)
He's sneaky, that guy. A sneaky creep, that is. All dark and shady. He needs some sun! (chapter 56)
The original voice actor hasn't been responding to messages; so the role has been reopened! Listen to the original role and try to match the voice a little.

Um, nitwit? (whispering) Hope I pronounced that right. (chapter 30)
Coach Hedge! Everyone's favorite teacher. I imagine him sounding constantly cheerful, but surprise me! :)
Only has around 20 lines (or less), total. More can be added.
Cupcakes, line up! Okay. Mr. Jackson, you're up first. Don't disappoint little Chuck. Ready, go! (chapter 45)
Neville Longbottom from Harry Potter. The voice actor left the Discord group, and isn't replying on CCC, so... some backup would be nice :')
Here's the actual voice: https://youtu.be/1vY7HjZ-VMs?t=155
Here's the original audition: https://www.castingcall.club/projects/being-normal-audio-version-of-a-fan-fiction/roles/270897/public
Match either of them, even slightly (because that's better than what I can do). Thanks!! You'll have around 30-40 lines, plus a few optional improv lines.
(whispering) Isn't he going to say anything? (chapter 4)
... Those meditation poses are so hard! How do you even balance like that? (chapter 36)
Wait, did you see him enter the room? It's got to be magic, but he's not some American wizard, is he? (chapter 56)
Leo Valdez is a character from Rick Riordan's Heroes of Olympus series, as one of the main seven characters.
He joined the school along with Nico di Angelo, having been convinced by his fellow demigod, Percy.
Voice: He was raised in Houston, Texas, and is described as Latino. Therefore might have an accent, or a fading accent. The voice range I imagine is medium-high, but feel free to do multiple takes, depending on what you think fits.
(chapter 99) THIS GIRL IS ON FIRE!
(chapter 100+; made a hotel card that opens any hotel door, and explaining why someone might need it) Hmm… maybe if you lose your key and you get locked out? Or if it happens to your friend?
(chapter 76; yelling to the entire cafeteria) I’m Leo! Or Bad Boy Supreme. Or Super-sized McShizzle. Or, you know, the Supreme Commander of the Argo II. Or da FLAMING VALDEZ!
Nico di Angelo is everyone's favorite son of Hades from Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson series.
He arrived at the school because of peer pressure from his friends. He also might be there to stare at his father teaching History class.
Voice: Younger voice, maybe a slight Italian accent. Possibly medium pitched. Feel free to do multiple takes.
(chapter 101; giving information to others) The Underworld is a place where dead people go after they die. There's the Elysian Fields, Asphodel, the Fields of Punishment, and Tartarus.
(chapter 100+; on a plane, terrified, counting how much time before it lands, and at the end the plane hit some turbulence) Eighteen thousand seconds! Eighteen thousand. Seventeen thousand nine hundred and ninety ni-woah!"
Fireheart is one of the main characters from Erin Hunter's Warriors series.
He arrived at the school with his friend, Graystripe, due to certain events involving Professor Minerva McGonagall from the Harry Potter series.
Voice: Same as Graystripe. However you'd imagine a cat in human form to sound. Any accent and voice range is acceptable.
(chapter 98; introducing himself) Hi everyone, I'm Fireheart.
(chapter 98; needs help before a test) I think we need extra help. A lot of extra help.
(chapter 100+; relieved for a certain reason) That makes sense. I've never traveled before.
Graystripe is one of the main characters from Erin Hunter's Warriors series.
He arrived at the school with his friend, Fireheart, due to certain events involving Professor Minerva McGonagall from the Harry Potter series.
Voice: Honestly, however you'd imagine a cat in human form to sound. Any accent and voice range is acceptable.
(chapter 98; whispering in the middle of class) I don't think I'll do too well on the test.
(chapter 98; confused) Study… notes… textbook? What?
(chapter 100+; Leo is traveling in the wrong direction) I think you're going the wrong way.
Zia Rashid is a character from Rick Riordan's Kane Chronicles.
She was convinced by Carter and Sadie Kane to leave her school, BAG, and join the new school.
Voice: It's said that she is Arabic, so I assume she has an accent. Besides that, feel free to do whatever you think fits.
(chapter 100+; debating whether it's a real bonding activity or not) I think it's an actual bonding activity.
(chapter 100+; explaining her reasons during a Two Truths and a Lie game) I don't know anyone who lives with their grandparents.
Cassandra, or as we first know her, Evanlyn, is from John Flanagan's series Ranger's Apprentice. She's the princess of the kingdom of Araluen. As we don't know her real last name, I decided to make her first name Evanlyn and her last name Cassandra.
She joined the school after her friends returned, before joining them on their adventure in the future with a magic rock.
Voice: She's a princess. Accents can be anything, as we don't know what Araluen was. I assume something English, since in the Ranger's Apprentice universe, there's a place called Gallica, which seems to be like France. Multiple retakes appreciated, but not required.
(chapter 71; slightly nervous) Then how long will we have to wait?
(chapter 95; introduction) Hello. My name is Evanlyn Cassandra, a new transfer student. I know most of the class because we went to the same school before. I hope I'll enjoy archery with all of you.
Many people will be cast! There will be various students and teachers. :) If you're super good you might receive multiple roles and more lines! These characters are the actual "normal" ones.
Hey! Stop shoving! It's just a weird looking foreign object, that's it! (student; chapter 11)
SHHHHHHH!!! Be quiet! Otherwise, you will be sent out of the library, and you won't be able to come back for a week. (librarian; chapter 24)
Apparently, last week was too much for poor Professor Gilderoy either choose to take a new class, or have a free period. (teacher; chapter 42)
