CALLBACKS - IMPORTANT
Congratulations to everyone who auditioned for the Be More Chill Soundtrack Cover! Now that auditions have officially closed, I’d like to call certain people back for specific roles. How this will work is I have made a list of specific songs I want people to prepare. Please practice the lyrics to the song I assign you to. You may be assigned to more than one, so study ALL THE SONGS I put you down for!!!! Please look at all the songs and count the amount you need to sing.
Callbacks will happen on my discord server (https://discord.gg/VsXMtGJ) in Callbacks Room A. Everyone in callbacks may wait in the Callbacks Waiting Room A. And hey, even if you didn’t get a callback, feel free to join the waiting room and talk with the members of the server. Callbacks will be SUNDAY at 3:00pm EASTERN STANDARD TIME! Make sure to account for time zones. I will move people into the main callbacks room as we go so I can hear your audition, which will be LIVE.
If for any reason you can’t attend callbacks (Besides nerves), let me know and I will have you go before or after, but probably before to not give an upper hand to a certain person by giving them more time. The reason I only give a day to learn the songs is that I want to see how prepared people are since there will be deadlines for the recordings. ALSO, even if you didn’t get a callback DOES NOT mean you are not in the cast! I may cast some roles instantly without a callback!
A few things you should know going into callbacks:
1. I will be giving notes and direction, and I want to see how you can adjust accordingly.
2. Confidence is key. Regardless of how you perform, I will never judge anyone who sings for me. Anyone who works up the courage to perform like this deserves my respect and time.
3. Don’t worry if you mess up on lyrics, do not ask to start over, I will ask you to if I see fit. I mostly want to see your vocals and how you hit notes.
4. Not only am I looking for a good voice, but I also am looking for you to be in character during your song.
5. I may ask you to read certain lines.
6. I don’t want to hear about how nervous you are, I want to hear you sing
7. Do not beat yourself up after your audition! Be confident. Those are the people I want to work with.
8. Have fun. Auditions are stressful, especially callbacks, so just relax and have a good time!

“The Pants Song” (Jeremy’s Dad’s part) - Ethan, Shuttershade, and Hunter
Thank you everyone for auditioning! You all were so courageous to still be singing in this depressing time. I’m very grateful that I had so many people audition, and even though only about nine or ten of you will be cast, all of you are now my friends.
