The Empire wishes to resurrect Malpercio, a malevolent and legendary god, in order to use his power for their own means. Xelha is a selfless woman out on a journey to prevent this from happening. Kalas is a cynical man out for revenge. These two travelers are destined to meet and form a friendship out of necessity to get what they want.

Hi there! I’m Charaito, director of this project who's on a quest to dub a fantastic game! Unfortunately, our main actor had to leave due to time constraints, and we are actively looking for a replacement, as well as a possible understudy for Kalas!
This role requires a moderate amount of commitment, as this character appears in almost every single episode, so please be aware of that.
I am reasonable with deadlines and would be willing to work around your schedule, but I expect a certain degree of communication back.
This project will be done in episodic format, and will include important in-game and a number of battle scenes.
As the project stands, scripts for Episode 1 and 2 have been released, and 75% of the actors have completed their lines.

1. Be able to act out your character instead of simply reading lines.
2. Have a decent mic (Keep your audition as static-free and clear as possible)
3. Make sure you can yell! At times, you will be expected to shout/ scream/ emote with the best of them. Aside from gameplay, Kalas has quite the emotional range.
4. Feel free to give your own interpretation of the character. You may also impersonate the previous performance found in the trailer above, if you'd like.

VOICE RANGE: LOW - MEDIUM LOW - MEDIUM
Major Role. The main character of Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean. The game primarily follows him and his Guardian Spirit on his quest to find vengeance for his slain brother and grandfather.
Description: Kalas appears to be a selfish young man. He is seemingly easy-going and usually looks out only for himself, uncaring of how his actions affect others. Behind his devil-may-care exterior is a jaded youth who has seen far too much injustice to let anyone into his heart. At age 16 he narrowly survived an attack on his family, and disappeared, presumed by many to have died. Two years later he returned, supported by the powers of a mysterious Guardian Spirit and a thirst for vengeance. Ironically, the world seems determined to set him on The Hero's Journey, much to his frustration. For all he cares, the fate of the world comes second to his personal quest for revenge.
Character Notes: Hot-blooded. Feisty, and a bit impatient. Not your typical bright-eyed hero, but not overly stoic. A Main character who spends the first half of the game trying not to be a Main character. Kalas is a complex character who goes from disinterested and sarcastic to emoting quite a bit. When provoked or desperate, he will be yelling a lot.
I'll be looking for a confident male voice who is not afraid to show an emotional side when necessary.
(Firmly, shutting down a plea for help) "You’re asking the wrong guy. The Empire’s plans, the fate of the world… I couldn’t care less. The bone I have to pick is with Giacomo (JACK-Ko-Moh). Not with the whole Empire. I’m not that stupid."
(unable to hold back, enraged) "Giacomo! You don’t know how long I’ve waited for this moment! This is for my grandfather, and for Fee… You’re goin’ down, Giacomo… for good!"
(Normal) "My name's Kalas (CAL-lis). This is my first time here... Which is why I got lost, I guess.
(Recalling past events, gradual embarrassment) "Oh yeah, I remember now... I was attacked by Rock Cats… Oh man... how stupid of me."
(desperately clinging to his brother, in despair) "You’ve gotta fight this! Please… don’t leave me! Don’t leave me alone!..."
(Battle Finisher) "Mighty sword, flow forth like the wind! Sword Style: Blue Storm!"
