Ball Vs Stick - Animated Web Series
Project Overview
In the world of Htrae, there exists a ball and a stickman. The two are locked in an endless battle of... Ball... Vs... Stick...
The title kinda speaks for itself.
Stick, the stickman vows to destroy a bouncy ball and will stop at nothing to achieve that goal.
So for a more detailed explanation, this is a reboot of sorts. A reboot of a ''series'' I made back when I was around thirteen. It was about a stickman fighting a bouncy ball, and it evolved into something much more, with more characters and personality.
Unfortunately, looking back on it, while the newer stuff was nice in my eyes. It was nearly impossible to understand how I got to where I am. Which makes sense, I created this when I had no idea what I was doing. I thought up random things I believed to be funny an just... Drew it.
Most of the older episodes don't hold up at all, especially in the animation department. Though, there were a few that I'm still proud of creating, story-wise. So I'm starting over! I'm rebooting the series, this time with a set plan. I'm going to remake the random mess I initially created into something more... Understandable...
At least that's the plan! I hope I can make headway on this as life is a bit busy at the moment.
I want to make it clear that this is supposed to be a casual and fun experience. I'm not serious at all. How could I be when the main plot is about a stickman fighting and losing to a bouncy ball?
The script for the first two episodes are fully finished; I'm just looking for some actors. Now I do want to jump into this project as soon as possible before I become too busy. So I might not leave auditions open for long.
But just have fun, that's the main requirement!

WOW Thanks to everyone that showed interest in this stupid little project. I definitely do recognize that this is, by all accounts, as stupid as they come. But that's part of the charm! I honestly only expected to get a total of zero, perhaps even zero times one, auditions. So for everyone that auditioned, thanks again! I'm going to close some of the rolls, mainly because I want to put some voice lines into the storyboard and see how it comes out. But just because they'll be closing doesn't mean I'm expecting, or even want, quick response times from anyone. One voice actor took almost a month to send in their lines, I'm not saying that's what I'm looking for, but I am saying that I don't want anyone to stress themselves over getting it out on the dot. Just take your time and have fun, that's the main goal here. I mean, forcing a character to have life isn't the same as it stemming from natural enjoyment. Especially for the main characters that have more lines than the supporting cast. You guys should take your time going through the script. I'd like to add that more characters will be added as time goes on. The ones listed here are just the ones present in the first episode. But I have many more characters planned to add-in for the future. It just that since they aren't shown to have voice lines in the episode I am currently working on, I see no reason to add them so far in advance. Perhaps once I finish the script for episode two, I will add them, but we shall see.
This guy is the big squeeze, the talk of the town, the coolest of the cool, the main freaking character!
Accept that he's none of those things. His rivalry with a bouncy ball has ruined his life, but he's too cocky and arrogant to realize this. Why does he hate the ball with a burning passion? Well, the reason is always different. All that is known is he will stop at nothing to erase the ball from existence for good.
To sum it, he's arrogant, upbeat, full of himself, and not the brightest bulb. But while that leads him to lose in everything, he always gets up to try again, and won't give up until he reaches his dreams.
For his voice, try whatever works, something normal. But he should be able to raise the intensity of his voice every so often.
* Feel free to adjust any of the lines if it'll be more comfortable to read aloud *
“Yes but really emphasize the ‘M’ in man.. Because that’s what I am… A man.”
“This guy thinks I don’t have friends. I have many friends! Right Ball?”
*The screen cuts to Ball and stays there in silence.*
“Yeah that’s what I thought.”
*Stick taps on his phone then puts it up to his ear*
“Hey Dad, we’re friends right?”
“I’m gonna get you out of here! But how do I open this door? Is it a push or pull?”
Benji is Stick's ''Best Friend''
Really, he's just a clone of Stick, one created to assist Stick of destroying Ball. But instead of being cursed with Stick's personality, Benji was a clone of Stick's positive traits and served to show what Stick could be like if he didn't have an idiotic addiction to destroying a bouncy ball.
In a basic sense, think of Benji as the straight man; he's pretty smart, and just an overall regular guy.
“Who knew a copy of me would be such an idiot?”
“Born and then immediately kidnapped… Awesome...”
“Geeze, maybe if you didn’t wear a bag on your head you would’ve seen that coming.”
Robin Banks is one of the main recurring villains. She works for a group of thieves; they steal from people with the goal of giving away those stolen items for Christmas at the end of the year. It's an endless cycle of stealing and giving.
TRUE EVIL
Anyway.
She wears a bag over her head that can hold a seemingly endless supply of items, and only shows her face to the people she trusts. She's more devoted to her job while her partner, Mary Sue, is all into getting whatever's shiny and being a nice person.
Robin and Mary have access to the ''back-up button,'' which will give them access to random stolen gadgets to use for their villainous deeds.
“We’re thieves! We steal from the rich and give to the richer!”
“Yeah... I bet robbing him would really make his day!”
“Eeny meeny miny moe… I… There’s two many people here!”
Stick's ex-girlfriend!? Haha, just kidding, that guy couldn't get one.. Unless?
Jk
The Ice Cream Girl is just trying to make ends meet in her ice cream truck. She is the oldest sister in the family and is always taking care of her ice cream brothers and sisters.
“Who is this?”
“Yeah that… That doesn’t answer my question.”
“Oh. Yeah. You.”
*Pause*
“How did you get my number?”
He's one of the two who controls the back-up Robin and Mary use whenever they push the back-up button.
It is his life duty to get the back-up to its destination whenever and wherever it's needed.
Regardless of what the situation is, he will always find a way to get Robin and Mary their back-up.
He doesn't have a name as of yet, though that may just be a running gag.
“Ughhh what is this!?”
“Wait really!? We’ve been waiting our whole lives for this moment!”

“The backup button!”
“I know! I'm so nervous!”
He's a punk and part of a gang of jerks that go around laughing at people for no discernable reason. They always just appear to be jerks and then leave. It's kinda in the name.
“Haha! No.”
“I know right?!”

“No!”
“Yeah, you showed ‘em!”

“Of course not!”
*Stick frowns*
“No one wants to be your friend! BAHAHAHAHA!”
“Aw man, I love laughing at others' expense to make me feel better about myself!”
“It was pretty funny.”
