Bad Fanfiction Reading for Pokeshipping Video [Pokemon]

Project Overview

Hello, everyone!


I am currently working on a video for my new channel that is an overview of Pokeshipping (the pairing of Ash with Misty), and I wanted to do a section focused on some particularly amusing fanfiction. I thought it would be funnier if they were acted out in-character, so that's where you'll come in!


Because of the nature of the video, I want to keep things brief, so I've taken excerpts from three different fanfictions for the segment. The audition lines are examples of some of what will be said, but I have a color-coded Google Doc with the portions I want to feature, along with links to the original writings for context if needed.


I'm looking for 


-Voice actors with a good sense of humor

-Grammatical mistakes in the original texts to be pronounced as they're written

-Delivery that is very over-the-top with each emotion, for comedic effect

The protagonist of the Pokemon anime and one half of the Pokeshipping puzzle. Looking for something close to his portrayal in the show itself, preferably closer to his original actress Veronica Taylor, but as long as you sound close to some version of Ash Ketchum, you'll be fine.

A fan favorite character from the first few seasons of Pokemon, and, of course, the other half of the Pokeshipping puzzle. Ideally, something close to Rachel Lillis's portrayal of the character is preferred, with a slightly squeaky sounding young voice, but feel free to have fun with it!

A childhood friend of Ash from the XY series, and, of course, a bitter rival of Misty's when it comes to fanfiction. She actually gets quite a few lines in the scheme of things, although still not as many as Ash and Misty.  Once again, an emulation of her anime voice actress, Haven Paschall, would be ideal, but I'm looking for someone who can pull off crazy and jealous, perhaps even with a slight twinge of yandere, really well due to the content of fanfiction I've chosen.

Another mainstay of the original series and beyond, Brock has a comparatively minor role here with only a handful of lines. As such, I am less picky with his portrayal than I am with Ash or Misty. Emulating Eric Stuart or Bill Rodgers is still ideal, but as long as you have a raspy delivery with a lot of personality, I'd say you have a good shot.

  • "Wha?! Beach Can i come too?! I wanna see some beautiful ladies!"
