Project Overview

In Edogine, power is a weapon—and every gifted student is trained to wield it in service of the Queen. Each student is meant to carry a single ability. Althea breaks that rule.

An anomaly with two powers she cannot explain, Althea has always felt out of place within the camp that raised her. When Edogine’s carefully guarded secrets begin to unravel, she and her fellow students are forced to flee beyond the only world they have ever known.

Thrown into unfamiliar lands and hunted by forces they don’t fully understand, the students must face brutal trials, shifting alliances, and the terrifying question of whether Edogine was ever truly protecting them—or merely using them.

This is an original audio drama written by me, and it will have several rounds of casting as there are various characters.

I am not picky regarding audio quality, however I ask that background noise be kept to a minimum. The only characters that I have put voice references for are Grunner and Hellebore, however I am open to any and all interpretations!

Additional remarks:

  • There are themes of death, but it's not a lot and it's not that descriptive.

  • This is a passion project so I cannot afford to pay anyone, I'm sorry!

  • I used AI to create the cover as my skills do not extend to art, but I promise the writing is 100% human.

  • Round 2 of Casting

    Hi everyone!

    Thank you to everyone who auditioned, supported and followed this project. The auditions I received were amazing and I wish I could choose all of you, but sadly I could only choose one per role.

    However, round 2 of casting will be opening soon. I'm also working on the promo for the audiodrama which has an unofficial release date of 31 March 2026. You can follow along on

  • Casting Update

    Hi there!

    So I hope everyone is still excited for this project, because I know I am.

    I know the VA deadline is 28 February, but one of my new years resolutions was to be more patient. Unfortunately I'll need to try try again next year.

    I would love to cast the first few people who would appear in chapter one at least, but I'll leave the other roles open for now. A lot of your auditions were AMAZING and I'm actually quite sad that I can only choose one voice per role. I'm contemplating if I even need a second round of casting or if I could just ask some of you if you'd be interested in some of the other characters directly.

    Please stay tuned as I am going to urgently be in need of two more voices including a narrator.

  • Thank you for all the support

    Hi everyone!

    It's officially been a week since I uploaded this project, and I just want to say thank you to everyone who is following along and for all those who auditioned and just for the overall support. You guys are amazing.

    Please rest assured that I am reviewing auditions pretty much immediately. All of you have been doing such an amazing job and I know making a decision for each character is going to be tough for me. The deadline remains 28 February, so there is still ample time to audition if you have not already.

    I want to encourage you all that if you don't get casted in this round, please keep an eye out for other rounds that I will open up as there are many characters who still need voices.

  • Grunner controlled anything with a mind. He used this to his advantage most of the time, though it couldn’t always save everyone.

  • Although the flames in her eyes were merely a reflection, Bayard could see that deeper than that, an internal fire had been ignited inside her, and it was now growing.

  • She looked up at the red and black dragon that tormented the sky. Her anger was not misplaced, she knew exactly who to blame.

Strong willed and determined, Althea is the main character who was born with two powers while all her fellow fledglings have one. She struggles to master her powers, thus making her insecure. She is a skilled warrior but does not do well under pressure. She has dry humor.

Disciplined, stoic, and to the book, Bayard is a time descelarator who is pushed into a leadership role he doesn't think he deserves. He is a protector and will sacrifice himself to save others. He tends to follow logic and usually makes difficult decisions with little regret. Choice weapon: the arakh.
