Field Recordings of Art-Based Fakémon (For YouTube Video)

Project Overview

Hello everybody! I'm looking for some voices for a few brief moments in an upcoming YouTube video where I've designed three art-based Pokémon starters.

The basic idea is that once I've shown the process of each design, I want a short segment describing the Pokémon like a Pokédex entry. And in each segment, I want a short audio recording of each Pokémon as if it was recorded by the trainer or professor that discovered them. I figure it'll be a fun way to further bring them to life and show off their personalities.

Each recording is only planned to be a few seconds long, maybe 10-20 at most, with the only line needed from you of course being the Pokemon's name in repetition because.. it's a Pokémon 😅

Credit and any desired links will of course be added to the description of the video. And that's about it, super excited to hear your audition!

Leporink (pronounced leh-pour-ink) is my grass-type starter, based on jackalopes. Their heads are hidden within a bush of leaves, with branch-like antlers that produce an ink-like sap. Leporinks are naturally quite shy and timid Pokémon. As much as they want to approach trainers, they can't manage to work up the nerve, often opting for leaving small drawings for them instead.

I imagine them sounding quiet but frantic, their volume almost always at a panicked whisper. Similar to the energy of Fluttershy (from MLP:FIM).

  • Improv a few lines of Leporink sounding nervous. (Feel free to mix in fragments of the name like other Pokémon often do, throwing in "lep"s and "ink"s and such)

Tubble (pronounced as expected, rhymes with bubble) is my water-type starter, based on manatees. Sea cows that use their bubble-producing ability to give themselves the horns and udders of land cows. They spread color everywhere they go by spraying the water stored in their udders (colored by food they recently ate). These little chonkers are very outgoing and full of happy energy, always wanting to brighten the day of anyone around. They're constantly hungry for attention, and snacks, like a needy puppy.

When I imagine Tubble's voice, I think of the signature deep gurgling sound of bubbles in a water cooler, their voice almost mimicking it whenever they talk.

  • Improv a few lines of Tubble sounding happy and excited. (Feel free to mix in fragments of the name like other Pokémon often do, throwing in "tub"s and "ble"s and such)

Kiwooo (pronounced kee-woo) is my fire-type starter, based on kiwi birds. Wearing the broken half of a Pokéball and jasper stones onbeither side to strike sparks. They can be quite friendly to those they've gotten used to, but if you're a stranger you better keep your distance. These grumpy birds want to work in peace, often crafting structures of scraps by welding with their fire just to keep others out. If you're lucky you may appeal to one, or be at the receiving end of a tantrum.

I picture a constant disdain in their voice, a high-pitched raspy energy that isn't scary but isn't entirely welcoming either.

  • Improv a few lines of Kiwooo sounding grumpy. (Feel free to mix in fragments of the name like other Pokémon often do, throwing in "ki"s and "wooo"s and such)
