Project Overview
Plot: Futaba Yoshioka has a few reasons why she wants to "reset" her image and life as a new high school student. Because she's cute, she was ostracized by her female friends in junior high, and because of a misunderstanding, she couldn't get her feeling across to the only boy she has ever liked, Tanaka-kun.
Now in high school, she is determined to be as unladylike as possible so that her friends won't be jealous of her. While living her life this way contentedly, she meets Tanaka-kun again, but he now goes under the name of Kou Mabuchi. He tells her that he felt the same way as she did when they were younger, but now that is the thing of the past. Will Futaba be able to continue her love that never even started from three years ago?

Asumi was one of Futaba Yoshioka "friends" in her first year of high school along with Chie. She disliked Yuri Makita, especially her personality around boys, and talked ill of Yoshioka at times. After being reprimanded by Yoshioka about her and Chie's gossip about Yuri, she defriends Yoshioka and begins to ignore her.
'But that's the stuff that makes Futaba so fun!'
[Annoyed] Unlike the likes of that. What do boys see in that sort of girl? Shes not even that pretty, if you look at her face.'
'Wha? We're not so desperate for boys' attention that we'll stoop to that level. It's not about that. I just hate girls like her.'

[Surprised] Mom! I'm late!
[Freaking out/Embarrassed] Oh, no! Why are you naked?! Oh, no! No!
He's probably... telling me to forget it. But... despite the cruelty of his words, there was something lonely in his expression. That's what it seemed like. Back then, I thought... After summer vacation was over, I'd have a proper talk with Tanaka-kun. I'd have lots of chances. But.. We can't go back to that now, though. Things aren't like they were in those days.
[Outburst] I'm so depressed! What's with this?!
If you think it's cheating... It means that deep down, you want boys to think you're cute too, don't you? If so, then instead of sniping at her, why don't you play cutesy, too? I guess you didn't notice me in the first two terms at all. I figured you'd notice me eventually, but I can't believe it took you this long. It's hilarious. I recognized you immediately, of course. Even though you've changed into that. You used to be so quiet. You've really changed. Like I said, I'm not Tanaka. I'm Mabuchi.

Yoichi Tanaka is Kou's older brother by eight years. He works as an English teacher at Futaba's high school. Futaba was initially interested in Yoichi upon entering high school because he reminded her of Kou, but was unaware that the two were brothers. Yoichi knows about Shuko's crush on him but always rebuffs her advances, telling her that he will never see her as anything more than a student.
[Concerned] Hey, are you listening? You've got to bounce back before the term ends, okay? What are you doing about your grades? You can't stay on the advanced course like that.
[Apologetic] Geez. Sorry about him.
[Kind] I'll help you. Where's your class?
*Laughs* (Should be similar to Kou's younger laugh)
[Annoyed] Kou! Hey, I was still talking to you.

Shuko is another "lone wolf." She is very beautiful but has a cold exterior that drives others away. Due to experiences in middle school, Shuko fails to trust girls. She has been in love with Tanaka-sensei, Kou's older brother, since her first year of high school after attending a guidance session between the two of them.
Mabuchi-kun, when you cause trouble, it makes trouble for Tanaka-sensei, too. I think you should be more careful.
(Getting angry) So you made someone totally unrelated to the incident apologize for you? You brat. No... Rotten brat.

He was embarrassingly awkward. Uncertain. He always seemed to be fumbling his way through everything. But... I really did love Tanaka-kun. Even now, Tanaka-kun has a place in a corner of my heart. Sometimes I think... I want to go back to those days.
