Anime Advice - Episode 1: Ask Shinji
Project Overview
Hello all you jokesters out there. Today I have for you all a project that I am working on that's going to uploaded to my anime channel, here: https://www.youtube.com/c/FlipAnimeSpotlight
I've decided to call this series, Anime Advice, which will involve characters from various anime series giving advice to other characters. Anime Advice is part parody, part commercial-spoof project that could last anywhere from a few episodes to several seasons. So please, if you wanna audition, please be committed!
I've written a script for a pilot episode and I've decided that I need some voice actors to get this project underway! The basic synopsis of each episode is a specific character named in the title (ex. Ask Shinji, Ask Light Yagami, etc.) will answer the various phone calls from other characters in different series(ex. Ash Ketchum, Kirito, etc.). Some characters will appear in more episodes than others, but most, unless specified otherwise, will appear mutliple times.
While Anime Advice is the name of the series, I do have other projects taking place in the same universe, so I hope that all of you who audition will be willing to help with other works in the overrarching universe!

Son Goku, protagonist of the Dragon Ball series. He's loud, courageous, a bit on the dumb side, but he has a big heart. He should have a medium to medium-low pitched voice. For reference, think of Sean Schemmel's voice in the FUNimation English Dub of Dragon Ball Z.
(annoyed)Darn it, Vegeta! You told me I could tell the joke this time!

Vegeta, the classic rival character in Dragon Ball Z. What's there not to know about Vegeta? He's brash, confident, rude, self-centered, serious, and always wants to get stronger. In this series, however, I decided to somewhat go against his interepretation in the original source material. While he still is cocky and rude, he's less angry and serious, and more of a troll. He loves telling bad jokes and getting on people's nerves. He needs a medium-low voice. For a reference, use Christopher Sabat, in the FUNimation English Dub of Dragon Ball Z.

The main protagonist from Neon Genesis Evangelion. He's known for being very shy and reserved, but he tries his best to be cheerful for the sake of all of his callers who need help. His voice should be that of a young teenager, medium to medium-high pitched. For a reference, I'd say use Spike Spencer, the voice of Shinji from the English Dub of Evangelion.

Gendo Ikari, the unfeeling father of Shinji Ikari. He's mostly emotionless, otherwise, he's usually annoyed at Shinji's antics. He has a mostly stoic and uncaring attitude, but he does break out of it from time to time. He has a habit of lying to Shinji to get what he wants. He should have a medium-low to low pitched voice.
Shinji...What do you think you're doing?
(annoyed)Shouldn’t you be...you know, fighting the Angels? The abominations that threaten mankind’s very existence!?
(lovingly)Anything for my little boy.
Katie works for the Anime Advice Hotline as an interviewer. She meets with new applicants who want to work at the agency. She tries to be peppy and upbeat, but she really dislikes her job and her boss. She often meets with anime characters(weirdos), and she has to learn to deal with them. She's intelligent and tries her hardest at her job. She should have a medium to medium-high pitched voice.
Hello, I’ll be interviewing you today.
Oh, well that’s cool, I guess...sooo, do you have any job experience?
(annoyed)Do we really have to do this?
Asuka, the hot-headed classic Tsundere character. Asuka is very bold, brash, and blunt. She acts confident, but is actually very insecure. I decided to play up her insecure tendencies a bit more, and she's far more possessive of Shinji, almost to Yandere levels. I would love it if you ladies could give her a slight German accent, if not, that's okay too. She should have a medium to medium-high pitched voice.
(skeptical) Shinji...what do you think you're doing?
(angry) Anyone who touches my Shinji is dead!
(cocky) What else would you expect from an ace pilot such as myself?
Jiboun wooo! Lelouch is the quintessential chessmaster in anime. He's confident, highly-intelligent, manipulative, and he also loves pizza! He's very smart, but the little things in life are what interest him the most. He should have a medium to medium-low pitched voice. He should sound proud and confident.
(commanding)I, Lelouch vi Britannia, command you to sell me your finest pizzas!
(upbeat)Yes, I want 2 large pizzas with Pepperoni, sausage, oh and could I also get the little cheesy crust, I love that!
(unsure)Wait, this isn’t Pizza Hut?
John is the spokesperson for the Anime Advice hotline. He should have a smooth and suave sounding voice that's comfortable to the ears. Personality-wise he's very confident and persuasive. He will be appearing in every episode. This is an important role! He acts as somewhat of a narrator for the series.

The protagonist of the Pokemon anime. He's a guy who never gives up and always tries his hardest. He's your typical shounen main character. However, he has some pretty glaring insecurities, especially when it comes to his Pokemon battling career. He gets really nervous whenever anything related to his failures as a trainer come into question. You can really do anything with his voice as long as he sounds young and energetic. Medium to medium high pitched voice.
