Animated Short: 'Criminal Record'
Project Overview
‘Criminal Record’ is a 2D animated short based in a world where super villainy and crime has become a legalised, competitive sport. The worse the crime, the higher the points they score. Whoever has the highest score at the end of the “season” wins full legal immunity for a year and a lump-sum payout, and all other participants are jailed and charged for their crimes, both crimes they committed during the competing season and out of it. The reigning champ for the last 5 years is the ‘King of Crime’, however even his success has strings attached…

Character is a tired, overworked mother, who's trying to make ends meet with her husband and young child.
Lines should be read with a sense of urgency, whilst trying to comfort her child through a period of high stress.
