Project Overview
Anima-Thology is a anthology web series that satirizes the Space Age, Retrofuturism, Atompunk, Sitcoms, cartoons, anime and general stereotypes in pop culture. The series also have a tendency to subvert, avert or downplay common things that live action remakes or any adaptation of an older cartoon and anime. https://problems-with-music.fandom.com/wiki/Tretro_(2022_series)
Plot: With the first story set in the year 2022, Nina and her friends imagine themselves in the 2000s and late 80s. In the second story taking place in 1992, teenage anime characters rush to go to school for a final exam. They all come home to see the modern teenage humans from 2022 (Nina with her friends) creating a futuristic, pastel and cyberpunk aesthetic for the gang to live in their new world for new ideas and stories to tell. Most of the stories predict what would happen in 2023, the year that the new world takes place in. While most of the retro or vintage stuff is more colorful, neon and pastel than the original designs.
