Angela & Netzach Recast (Lobotomy Corporation: A New Voice)
Project Overview
Information!
Lobotomy Corporation: A New Voice! is a long-term project aimed at bringing to life the story of Project Moon’s Lobotomy Corporation, as the game currently doesn't include any voice acting.
Our goal is to present the story fully-voiced so that it can reach a larger audience.
The dub currently consists of a Youtube series along with a mod as well.
Currently, lines for all other characters has already been completed. All that's left currently are all of Angela and Carmen's lines, totaling at about 979 lines of dialogue, along with Netzach's dialogue, totaling at about 123 lines of dialogue.
Audition Rules!
- Please be 16 or older.
- Make sure your microphone is of clean quality. Heavy reverb or static is not tolerated.
- There is a lot of dialogue in the game from every character listed, so please make sure you're not straining yourself while trying to portray them.
- Please do not slate your audition.
- Please record in the AABBCC format, with a maximum of 3 takes per line.
WARNINGS!!!
- SPOILERS: This project obviously contains massive spoilers for Lobotomy Corporation's story as a whole, and character voice references all contain mild spoilers for the story of Lobotomy Corporation and its sequel, Library of Ruina.
- CONTENT: Lobotomy Corporation includes the following themes: cosmic horror, death, drug addiction, gore, grievous bodily harm, human experimentation, human trafficking, human sacrifice, injury and assault, lethal accidents, manipulation, murder, mutilation, self-harm, suicide and war.
By auditioning for this project, you acknowledge all statements and warnings made above and are still willing to participate if casted.
Notes!
- "Sefirot/Sephirot" is pronounced "Sef-rohwt".
- "Sephirah" is pronounced "Sef-rah".
- Please refer to the pronunciation guides given in each character's description, as well as the ones above. If you are still unsure of pronunciation, look up any guides on the Hebrew pronunciation of the words.
- Again, the line count is quite big, if you do not have the time or ability to voice out that many lines of dialogue, please do not audition.
Angela
CHARACTER DESCRIPTION: Angela is a highly advanced Artificial Intelligence taking the form of a blue-haired, pale-skinned woman; her eyes are rarely seen open, except for when she is angry. Her roles include the surveillance of the entire facility, giving X (the Player) advice on how to interact with abnormalities and handle breaches, acting as the manager of the Sephirot, and other unspecified tasks. According to her, Angela's skills have caused many people to lose their jobs.
- Angela speaks in a very dry and matter-of-fact way a lot of the time. She seeks to relay the information that she needs to and that is all. Sometimes though, she does get a little smug with her delivery. And though she is a robot, her tone is very much not robotic. In fact, her delivery and pacing should lend itself to sounding closer to something more natural.
- You will also be required to read for Carmen, who is a highly enthusiastic, altruistic, and ambitious person. Do really try to make her kindness and warmth shine through with her voice.
- Angela is the character with the most dialogue lines in-game, so be prepared to do a lot of reading. Her plus Carmen's lines totals at 979 lines. This can not be stressed enough. Do not audition if you are not able to follow through.

(Speaking with a neutral expression, a customer service voice is probably the best way I could describe what I have in mind.) Hello, X. I give you a warm welcome to Lobotomy Corporation. I am Angela, your advisor and secretary. My role as an AI is to assist you in adjusting to your new workplace, so please have no worry in speaking with me or asking any questions.
(Speaking in her normal tone of voice at the start, but her voice starts to sound more and more intimidating until the final sentence, where she lays down not a suggestion, but an order. She should still sound composed throughout.) Did you hear the news Manager? They say a rodent found its way into the appliance room, in one of our facility’s restricted areas. This could become a serious issue. This is one of the reasons why we emphasize security so much. You would do best to remember that. I will personally deal with the rodent this time. But if you happen to find any rodents, manager, please notify me immediately.
(This is a line from Carmen. She’s lying on the grass with her research partner, basking in the warmth of the sun. Try to portray what was already mentioned in the character description for her.) “Can you feel it? The sunlight here is very warm. Sometimes, I dream about photosynthesis, lying down comfortably with my eyes closed. Just soaking it up.”
CHARACTER DESCRIPTION: Netzach is one of the Sefirot that works for the Facility in the upper layer, Asiyah, and is the head of the Security Team. The player can meet him from Day 12 to 17, depending if the first expansion is unlocked. Netzach strongly dislikes his job at the Corporation. He feels helpless and responsible for the death of his employees. He is pessimistic and has no hope for the future. Netzach slacks on his work while he drinks beer and gets high on Enkephalin to escape from reality. He wishes he would be scrapped or replaced.
VOICE REFERENCE | Netzach speaks often in mumbles or whispers, often slurring his words and sounding generally very very tired. However, he does come to acknowledge that he needs to step up a little, so you should be able to convey both of those aspects of him.

(Very lethargic, he does not want to be here.) Man, why did the meeting room have to be so far away… Uh, you already know my name, right? …… Got anything else to say? *The manager says yes.* Could we talk later then? Don’t really wanna be bothered right now.
(He is blitzed out of his mind here, he should sound drunk or high.) Yo, what’s up manager? You look super today. So, you… uh… succeeded with something, huh? Right, far out man. Man, why’s the ground shaking like that? Is it another breach? Lemme guess what you’re thinking. “Netzach’s just a pathetic, he’s not at all like Miss Hardworking Malkuth or Mister Strict Yesod.” I know, I’ve read your mind. I get that a lot from the other Sephirot. But, just think about it for a sec. This place is hell.
(He’s seen what he’s talking about thousands upon thousands of times and is just sick of it all) Aren’t you sick and tired of this? You’ll do something great tomorrow yet again, though it won’t be anything all that “great”, and Miss Angela and the other Sephirot will shower you with compliments. We’ll have another accident in my department, a couple will fall down and die, some will go nuts, and a pile of ‘em will get injuries they’ll never recover from.
