My employer recently assigned me with the vague task of creating "something with digital tools that represents how Valentine's Day is shaped as a cultural event through media representation." To that end, I've decided to put together a satirical video of sorts and am in need of one female voice actress.
I need 5-6 lines and will pay you in the amount of $10. Not exactly a small loan of a million dollars, but still.
I don't have all the details worked out just yet, but the scene in question will take place over the phone. I'll be running your lines through a filter to simulate the appropriate effect. You'll be portraying the girlfriend of my character, who will almost certainly be some fairly ridiculous man who forgot it was Valentine's Day.
I will of course credit you (or not -- totally up to you) accordingly in the credits. While this video won't be seen by a large number of people, I intend to have fun with it and make something enjoyable within the small timeframe I have to work with. If you so desire, I'd be happy to provide a download of the video upon completion. You're more than welcome to use it in a reel/portfolio, watch it over and over again, or promptly delete it. Again; totally up to you.
The deadline is February 17th at the latest. It was originally the 18th, but I'm moving it back just a bit to ensure that whoever is cast has enough time to record the lines prior to Friday at noon (pacific time) at the absolute latest. It's a short turnaround time, but the assignment is due on the 19th and I'd prefer to have the lines the day before at the latest.
Looking forward to hearing your auditions!
