Altered Season 2 Episodes 11-13
Project Overview
Altered is meant to be a story that tells the tale of a world divided against itself. The world has advanced considerably in genetics, and altering a child’s genetics before birth has become a popular method of giving your children a head start in the world.However, because of the incredible abilities of these Altered children, people become jealous, and over many, many years, war breaks out. Altered, or Superiors as they call themselves, are targeted by organizations that despise their existence, and wish to wipe them out. Deals are made, and Superiors are moved into space colonies. Years pass without conflict, when suddenly, NOVA, the ruling body between the colonies, decides to break a trade agreement, which incites conflict anew.
Season 2 picks up where Season 1 leaves off. A burning ship, two of our main characters lying unconscious on the deck, and a list of questions that have yet to be answered. Altered was never meant to be an action packed adventure, but a dark story that showcases corruption, darkness, and manipulation. Of course, that’s not all the story is about, and much of the story showcases a desire for a better world, the desire to bring about a lasting peace.
For this series, I am looking for voice actors who are willing discuss their characters, to dive into their roles, and become their characters. I will also be asking for the following.
-All Voice Actors have an active Skype account, and are willing to set up discussion times where we can discuss their characters, as well as the tone for lines. You can submit your skype name in your audition, or wait until you hear back from me before sending it.
-Recordings of good quality. Usually I’m not too picky about this, but I’ve been receiving a lot of auditions lately that contain static and background noise, or just awful quality in general.
-The desire to make it your own. I want my Voice Actors to feel their characters, to get to know them, and to know what they would feel in a certain situations. Its not something that happens immediately, but I am looking for motivated people who are willing to immerse themselves in the lore and history of their characters and their surroundings.

Male, early to mid twenties. British
A lethal solder who is a major part of Purity. Sent in to situations where normal solders would simply not be able to survive. A one man unit, does not play well with others. Sarcastic.
My, "Mission", was to go in and extract some useless data! By the way, next time you send me on a data retrieval mission, make sure there’s a bit less FRIENDLY FIRE! (Speaking to his captain regarding his previous mission)
SO I WAS ALMOST FRIED FOR NOTHING?!?!?! (When it is revealed that his previous mission was for nothing)
Well, this is disturbing. (Seeing his ally prepare for an encounter with a skilled enemy)
Male, early thirties
A somewhat crazed captain, famous for crashing his own ship into another to inflict catastrophic damage to the enemy. Part of Purity, sees Superiors as nothing but trash. Has been a part of several major campaigns against the colonies, well known for his malice. Handles an elite group of terrorists onboard The Paladin, which he captains.
Line 1: , she will need to abandon her codename until she returns to the Paladin. We'll be in very brief contact for the foreseeable future, so it would be best if you try and remember her name Cross. (Explaining a mission assigned to a teammate)
Line 2: It’s not as though you guys ever work together anyways, but no, you aren’t down one. One just got back actually. (Explaining the mission continued)
Line 3: Shut your mouth Cross! Did you confirm the target? (Confirming the identity of a target on a mission)
Male, early to mid fifties
Another higher up within Purity, Theodore is almost the same as Thermadore. In fact, they are so alike, the Head of Purity often forgets which one of them he has given orders to. Unlike Thermadore, Theodore is a Superior, who was cast out from the colonies when he tried to establish contact with his family on Earth, who were not superiors. When he was discovered, he was exiled to earth, and went on to find out that his family had been killed by a group of Superiors. With that information, he went to join Purity to avenge his family. It didn’t take long before he rose through the ranks. Rough, low voice.
Line 1: The Paladin is currently standing by, awaiting your orders sir. (Reporting on the Paladins status)
Line 2: Theodore: Yes sir, he was rather upset. Also, he sends his apologize for not being able to confirm the target in question. (Relaying a status report from the Paladin)
Line 3: No, sir. No he didn’t... Would you like to hear his response? (Relaying more information regarding a mission from The Paladin)
Male, Late 40s mid fifties
A higher up member of Purity, and its leader’s right hand man. Thermadore is a man who developed a seething hatred for Altered when his family’s business was completely decimated by a Altereds business, which forced his family into poverty. Fueled by this hatred, he sought out like minded men, and eventually found himself running the military aspects of Purity. Although more suited to espionage, he makes sure the needs of the organization are fulfilled, regardless of the cost. A lower, rough voice.
Line 1: Everything is proceeding on schedule sir. (Explaining the situation to the head of Purity)
Line 2: Your words flatter me sir. (Accepting a compliment)
Line 3: As always sir. We will see ourselves out. (Leaving a meeting)
Male, later thirties early forties
Rayford is the Colony representative from Foundry. A large, brusque man, Rayford comes off as rude, but cares deeply for the people in his care. He has taken great lengths to secure his colonies safety, and also to improve their wellbeing.
Line 1: Heh, that old coot finally bit it huh? Didn’t see that coming. Figured we'd have to ship his ass into the sun to stop his heart from beating. And even then that wasn’t a guarantee. (Hearing that a well-known ship captain had died)
Line 2: Ahhh... This is where it gets good. (Getting to the action part of a rumored report)
Line 3: I’m well aware of the hypocrisy, but it would solve our problem. They’re efficient and deadly. We can at least grant the bastards that... (Being called out on a statement with sentimental implications)
Late thirties early fourties
Captain of the EU Trident, home to the NOIR squad and Dr. Ensler. John is a very honest man, who does not see any real difference between Altered and Unaltered humans. Known for being Upfront and a tad harsh, John genuinely cares for his crew, and will always plan ahead for their well being.
Line 1: You knew this was going to happen, didn’t you? Now, its too late for her. She’s already stepped down that road... And you’re the one who gave her a push. (Discussing the details of an op that he was not informed of)
Line 2: Purity happened. Four well placed nukes. Pretty much destroyed the entire outer hull of the colony, and sucked all of its residents out into space. (Explaining the fate of a colony)
Line 3: Enough! This conversation is over! (Getting heated over mission parameters)
Female, late thirties forties
Addison is the Colony representative from Eden. Known for being a peace loving leader, she likes to keep an open mind when discussing peace talks with the Earth Union. Of course, she is also seen as a bit of an airhead at times, often saying things that could get her into serious trouble, and gambling with more extreme sanctions that could have radical implications to the colonies behind closed doors.
Line 1: Perhaps we should focus more on the report being given gentlemen. The young man is being very patient with the two of you. (Keeping the meeting on track as members of the council squabble)
Line 2: If it’s quite alright, I would like to speak to your son before he is sent out again Chairman. (Asking for permission to meet with the Chairman’s son in private.)
Line 3: I also managed to get a hold of the briefing report Captain Aspina Varka gave you. From your report, you stated that there were five enemies in the squad that your team was after, Noir. But in his report, there are only four. (Going over the report that was given to Logans squad back on board the Solstice.)
Male, late thirties early forties
A soft spoken man, he truly loves the people he leads, and strives for their wellbeing. Known for being a brilliant strategist, he leads the colonies with leadership and integrity, while commanding the council with respect. Father to Logan Fairfield. Becomes somewhat awkward when in his sons presence. Doesn’t know how to be a father, but loves his son unconditionally.
Line 1: Please take us through the events that have transpired. Right from the beginning, Logan.(To his son, in private, with his captain in the room)
Line 2: Were you surprised? That a fellow Superior would be your opponent? (To his son in a meeting with the other members of the colonies)
Oh my god.... I can’t believe it... He’s alive! (Excited, In private to a confidant)
Male, Late thirties, early forties
A cunning captain and a very dark character. He seems to be everywhere at the same time, and can be a terrifying figure to even the most hardened veterans. Known for being manipulative, he controls his ship with ease.
I’m sure I can arrange that. It might interest you to know as well, that there are other parties interested in the boy’s identity. (Speaking to Harold about Griffin)
That’s... Impossible. The report stated that Arthur took care of the mob! (Shocked about the hidden details of a report)
If you ever meddle in my workings again, I will expose your so called Peace Talks with the EU to the Council. I’m sure they would love to know the kind of colony restrictions you have been gambling with, especially considering how many lives ride on your carelessness. (A threat in a lowered tone to a high ranking colony leader)
Female, late teens early twenties
Logan’s sister. Becomes a very important character as the series progresses. A posh girl, but one with a lot of faith in her ability as a swordswoman. Currently the only Fairfield woman to have ever taken up the sword, May is constantly looking to find a way to join the army and fight alongside her brother. However, her Father does not allow her to join.
Line 1: My big brother, finally home from the war. So, what brings you back stranger? (Talking to Logan for the first time in a few months)
Line 2: A Superior that can give you a run for your money? What, are you getting soft? (Giving Logan heck for not being up to par with another solder)
Line 3: What about Griffin? (Walking in on a conversation she isn’t supposed to hear)
Male Early to mid twenties
Heir to the Warfield name, Roy is an accomplished swordsman that is transferred into 53rd IRR as a replacement for Zach. Although Logan is not happy about having a Warfield be a part of his team, Roy soon proves to be a valuable asset. Confident in his abilities, but a little cocky, Roy often toys with his enemies, taunting them into making critical mistakes.
Line 1: Thank you Captain. Hearing that from you is quite encouraging! (Being complimented by Aspina)
Line 2: You work with one, but you haven’t seen his swordsman ship to its fullest? Why do you think that is? (Questioning Joesph about the extent of Logans swordsmanship)
Line 3: I was briefed on it. Noir has wiped countless men off the field. The reason your team wasn’t destroyed in its entirety was because their mission was to recover what you had stolen. If they destroyed you, there wouldn’t be anything left to retrieve. (Letting Joesph know that his squad only survived because the enemy had orders not to destroy them)
Female, mid to late twenties
A very odd character. Always upbeat and positive, even though she has seen some of the most horrible things imaginable. Funny, she acts girly and cute, even in the middle of an intense firefight, very rarely takes anything seriously. Requires a younger, cute sounding voice at times, while still being able to sound serious and mature at others. Used to work with Ryan Barnes of NOIR.
Line 1: Not bad. Let’s hope that you can become more patient. You never know when an inch could mean the difference between the life you want to take, and the one you want to save. (Critiquing a grouping on a target)
Line 2: OOoh, looks like some naughty boys entered into a lady’s room without permission! (A group of solders exploded after falling for a decoy below her position)
Line 3: Wow! Look at them all! They were not kidding when they said there would be a mass drop into Germany! Hey Ryan, how many of them are there? (Viewing the enemies positions as they walk among the ruins)
