Project Overview
Alter:Mirai (オルター:ミライ Orutā:Mirai) is an upcoming free-to-play Danganronpa fangame visual novel, a spinoff specifically inspired by visual aspects of Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair and Genshin Impact.
The game features both original characters and storyline, departing from the traditional conflict Hope Versus Despair and instead Humanity Versus Technology. The narrative explores the friction between synthetic advancement and human preservation, forcing a new cast of 18 characters to navigate and endure coerced killing.
The aesthetic is described to be a mix of Frutiger Aero, Y2K Futurism, Cybercore, and Cyber Glacier (Frutiger Glacier).
