Project Overview

The Emissary's Daughter is an ambitious Skyrim Follower mod. The plan is to compete with the large dogs in the space (SDA/Ashe etc).

“Alenawe is a politically intelligent, emotionally guarded companion whose arc explores institutional loyalty under stress, without requiring romance or dependency.”

I'm mainly looking for a VA for the role, but if you have writing input as well, I'm open to it!

  • About halfway!

    We're about halfway to the submission deadline, and I've been very impressed and entertained with the submissions so far (26 people on my shortlist for 2 roles, and a month left to go!).
    As a helper for new submissions (you can also resubmit, that's fine, too), A few things I want to clarify:
    I'm codifying Alenawe more. She's an INTJ for sure: Reserved by default, assertive when necessary - "the coldest human". She values efficiency and optimization in everything, including word choice and phrasing. The audition lines aren't going to change, but don't surprised if none of them show up in the final product.

    For the Mentor (also an 'A' name, Alonythil, I swear it wasn't on purpose) I still like the idea of a Peter Cushing Tarkin type, but he's not the villain, he's the operative in the field; fully enfolded in the Thalmor System - not because he believes, but because he's good at it.
    I myself am an impatient sort, so all this combined tells you that I don't want slow-talkers (personally, I read and process subtitles way faster than most people talk). That sdaid, I don't want micro-machines man either. Just... fly casual.
    Also, it's great to submit multiple takes, but if you do, given my peculiarities I'd prefer AABBCC format to ABCABC (because I know pretty quickly if a take is wrong).

This is for a custom-voiced, intelligent Skyrim SE Follower Mod.

Alenawe (ah-LEN-ah-Way) is a young (think Post-Grad) Altmer of upper-crust training. Polite as a weapon, guarded by habit. She’s undercover as a “scholar,” but her real work is observational and institutional (Thalmor, but not a Justicar. More Elenwen-at-the-party, less Ancano). She is not warm, not cruel; she’s controlled. She reveals only what is necessary.

    It’s not about an accent, so much as it’s about control, diction, and implied status.
  • Avoid tropey hangups: no over-villainy, no over-seduction, no modern snark. You want surgical politeness.

This is a Thalmor minder for Alenawe. Cover role is her professor/mentor, her immediate supervisor for this assignment. He is Polite, ever-so-slightly condescending to everyone - but will *not* break cover.  I envision him as almost a Peter Cushing Tarkin.

Here is their intro scene:


Player (to Alenawe):


“Hello, there.”

(A brief pause. The mentor finishes their sentence before responding.)

Mentor (calm, mildly curious):

“Yes?”

(Only now does Alenawe look at the player.)

Alenawe (measured):

“May we help you, or is this a misunderstanding?”

(Player answers — short, generic. Doesn’t matter what.)

Now the mentor turns slightly toward Alenawe.

Mentor (quiet, evaluative):

“Is this individual known to you?”

Alenawe:

“We’ve not been introduced.”

Mentor:

(Mentor glances at the player like assessing a document.)

“Then this is not a productive interruption.”

(To Alenawe, not unkindly.)

“ Continue your assignment.””

    (The mentor disengages.)

First interruption → sceneQuest stage advances to IntroDismissed.

Second attempt → one-line dismissal

Mentor (without turning):

“This conversation is concluded.”
