This suburban Tokyo ward's seen it all, from Japan's post-war reconstruction to the economic bubblegum crisis of the '80s. Always on the cutting edge of progress, with a little something to offer even the most fetishistic of appetites, it was almost inevitable that this singular technocracy of indulgence would give birth to a whole new kind of appetite altogether.
Enter, the “Synthisters” – vampires who prey upon the life energy of the town’s unsuspecting figurine-chasers, maid café connoisseurs and cosplayers. Those victimized by Synthisters take on the properties of their attackers while also withdrawing from society and becoming veritable shut-ins due to their newfound fatal weakness to sunlight.
AKIBA’S TRIP tells the story of one such unfortunate soul: a young man named Nanashi who was lured into a trap by the promise of rare character goods and transformed into one of the walking undead. He, however, was spared the worst of his fate by the bloody kiss of a mysterious Synthister hunter named Shizuku. Together with the rest of his companions in an organization unofficially dubbed the “Akiba Freedom Fighters,” Nanashi and Shizuku must uncover the truth behind the Synthister plague and save Akiba from being overrun by violent, antisocial energy vampires.
And of course, the best way to fight vampires is to strip them down to their skivvies so they melt in the noonday sun…"
Now let me make this clear. I haven't played the game yet. However this will be a little bit different from other fandubs. How? Well let me tell you with few rules...
1.) This project will be done COMPLETELY via skype's "screen sharing" option. Meaning I won't provide you written down script, because you can see the script already written in the game while I'm screen sharing it with you all that get's a role. Narrator role is different; the audition line is so far ONLY lines I've seen so in that matter whoever I choose for him, can do the lines right away.
2.) Instead of giving you audition lines for each role, I want YOU to improvise. Come up with as random stuff you want. So there won't be actual game lines for audition. I leave the lines for each role on YOUR hands and how you want to present them.
3. Don't, and I repeat; DON'T sound like you would read an book or rush with the lines. Give your auditions a range of different emotions. Laugh from bottom of your hear or if you want to cry or anything, you can do that as well. Just... DON'T sound dull.
4.) If you don't want to be part of this fandub (I DO knowledge that the game has both fully voiced English and Japanese audio and roles, but I want to give the game my OWN version of the fandub, it doesn't have to be all serious fandub, we can improv while doing it and have fun while at it), or don't have a GENUINE interest, DON'T audition. It would be disappointed if I choose someone who after being picked to the role never shows up. If you TRULY want to be part of this project, audition away, if not, don't. Simple as that.

Bio:
Shizuku Tokikaze's younger sister. Left her village in pursuit of a missing
family member, just as her sister did. Rin, however, is far more aggressive
than Shizuku, and fits into the Akiba lifestyle extremely well due to her sharp
instincts for popular trends and her general love of all things hip and vogue.
When taking the stage as an idol, she comes across as cool and in charge, but
her hard outer shell instantly melts away whenever her dear "Sis" is involved.
Seems to want to be at the forefront of Shizuku's mind at all times, and tends
to get rather hostile toward anyone who challenges her for that spot.

Bio:
The mysterious girl saved Nanashi from his vampiric fate. Has a quiet
personality and a general lack of knowledge about society. Left her remote
village and came to Akiba in pursuit of a family member who'd run away from
home. Infiltrated the "organization" in order to hunt "Synthisters"--humans
who've been corrupted by material desires. It was during one such mission that
she met Nanashi. Now she investigates alongside him and his friends in hopes of
finding whom she seeks, undoing the damage inflicted upon the town by her
enemies and returning Nanashi to normal.

A student attending college in Akihabara. She's been friends with Nanashi since
they were both little kids, and basically takes on the role of older sister
with him, keeping him in check. She joined the Akiba Freedom Fighters two years
ago and is practically an institution within the group today. She has a
clean-cut personality and is always positive. She also loves being involved in
the lives of others, and is thus unable to resister lending a hand whenever she
sees someone in need. And now that Nanashi is a Synthister, he's very much in
need of support...so does she get involved? Of course she does! That's what
I am Tohking about!

Nanashi's sister, who for some reason has decided to start living in MOGRA's
back room. She calls her brother by a variety of cutesy names and is always
trying her best to win some brotherly affection from him. Highly self-conscious
and almost obsessively analytical, people tend to find her a little odd. She
loves playing video games, tooling around online and making costumes for
cosplay (though never, ever wearing them herself). She feels blessed just to be
in Akihabara. Even though her brother is a Synthister, she doesn't mind.
Brotagonist is Brotagonist, after all, no matter what his state of mortality
(or normality) may be.

A Finnish transfer student with an affinity for anime and games, especially
JRPGs. She's been a member of the Akiba Freedom Fighters ever since she
started working as a literal "bar maid" at MOGRA. Due to her love for all
things anime and game, she naturally also loves anime music, and frequently
uploads videos of herself dancing to anime songs to a video streaming site
called "Niccori Douga." She's also an avid cosplayer, and her favourite
character to dress up as is Suzu Touen from "Akiba Squad Striprism." As a
close friend of Nana's (and a fellow otaku), she's dedicated herself to
helping him return to his natural human form.

The president of a ubiquitous Akihabara drug conglomerate known as Daishihon
Pharmaceuticals. Holds over 10 Ph.Ds and is considered a genius by all
definitions -- a rank she was awarded at a very young age. Her guiding
principle is to experiment first and theorize hypotheses later. As a result,
she often tends to get her hands dirty by directly involving herself in
product development and actively participating in all fieldwork, eager to see
results for herself. Her curiosity got the better of her in regards to the
"undead" beings supposedly wandering the Akihabara thoroughfares, leading her
to become buddy-buddy with Nanashi in seach of answers.

Well the Narrator can be anyone; Male or female but I want it to be male this time. He narrates the beginning of the game (or so I think, haven't really played it yet but it looks promising :3) Only one rule. Try to audition within a time limit, which I checked was 1 minute 18 seconds full on narration.

Now, with the yen soaring above the dollar and deflation hitting the market like a ton of bricks, Akiba has found itself booming like never before, absorbing a wide variety of cultural influences from every corner of the country and beyond.
In essence, it's become a microcosm of modern Japanese society.
Always on the cutting edge of progress, with a little something to offer even the most fetishistic of appetites, it was almost inevitable that this singular technocracy of indulge would give birth to a whole new kind of appetite altogether.
It should come as no surprise, then, that the town is always teeming with rumors. Things like:
"I hear there are people who hunt otaku for sport!"
"I hear there's a long-established maid cafe somewhere with a secret menu. If you order from it... well, let's just say you get some REAL fan-service..."
"Supposedly, there's a man out there who offers people underground jobs. Like, off-the-grid kinda stuff."
"Yeah, and what about the hacker group? They say those guys can pull up any information you want on anything, but the catch is, they always ask you to pay with something other than cash."
"People have been talking about horrible mosters lurking in the back alleys. You cross 'em and you'll be crippled for life...if you're lucky."
"I heard that men who keep their virginity past age 30 turn into fairies."
...and so forth.
It's all absurd. Contrived. Immature. All such obvious nonsense. And yet...
I don't know. There's some part of me that can't help but get caught up in it all. Some part of me that hangs on every word. And finds it suspicious that there are just... so many stories. So many bizarre things people are claiming to be true.
It's the age of social media... The new playground for all the new children of the world.
The new grapevine.
The new water cooler.
And if you wish for gossip, this is what you'll inevitably hear...
