A SODA IN A BAR
Project Overview
A soda in a bar is a Machinima made in GTA 5 for the Machinimay 2024 contest hosted by Whanowa. The movie treats about Mei, a Hitwoman doing some contract, mostly that comes to kill someone. She is engaged by a famous singer to get back a briefcase full of intels that is compromising her career and her life. But she ignore that it will directly lead her to her worst enemy. She'll have to control her own feeling as she complete her mission.

Half a girl, half a robot, Mei is the main character of the Machinima. She's a 25 years old hitwoman spending her time accomplishing contracts that comes mostly times to kill someone else.
As a child, her father, nammed Sho, is killed by Laurent in front of her. After exploding the car where the girl and the father were, Laurent cut Mei's left arm with an axe before ends Sho's life in front of her daugter's eyes. But the one who asked Sho's death didn't wanted Mei to die. So Laurent did everything to keep her alive, by "rebuilding" her.
Most of vitals of Mei is made of bio-composants, and her left arm is now a robotic arm.
Mei is cool and calm when she's having a brake, and professional when working as a hitwoman, focussed to not make any mistake.

[At the bar, Mei asks his barman friend to get her a soda. He's suprised and makes a reflexion about the choice of the drink] "Listen, I’m working tonight, and in case you have forgotten, Alcohol is prohibited at work."
[In the plane, Laurent is still lying about Mei's father. Tired of hearing this, Mei explain that she know the truth.] "YOU KILLED MY FATHER !!! You really think I'm gonna believe this bullshit again ? Huh ? We both know that it didn't happend. You just need some money and the only choice you made is to put a contract on my father's head to kill him right after ! The only reason you didn't killed me is because I wasn't supposed to be harmed ! And if you would do that, the one you asked to put the contract would have find and kill you !"]
[Still in the plane, Laurent threat Mei saying he's gonna find and kill her. But the girl already know that he's going to die in the crash.] "Luckly for me, your body will be found burning in the plane wreckage, if you don't die from blood loss. You should have think twice before screwing my whole life."
Henry is a bartender at Teki-la-la bar. He is Mei's best friend and he's the one who gives her informations about her contracts.
In the scenario, Henry heard about a bulgary that is related to Mei's contract.
Henry is kinda a neutral guy. He let things happend and adapts himself to the situation.
[This is the key sentence of the machinima. Mei ask for a soda while their are both in a bar. Henry is kidding about Mei's choice.] "A soda...in a bar...seriously Mei ?"
[Henry tells Mei that the bar hasn't received that amount of customers recently, he ignores that this was Mei's plan] "I guess you have noticed that the singing sisters are performing here tonight, ain’t that a surprise huh ? the bar never got that kind of reputation before."
[After Mei talked about the job, Henry tells her that he did heard about something related] "Well this is just getting interesting. Lucky for you I’ve heard about it. Some goons who came by talked about preparing something similar to what you just said."
Laurent is the main antagonist of this machinima. After killing Sho, Mei's father, he had to save her from death to avoid to get killed aswell.
He is Belgian, a French accent, and a medium voice.

[Laurent took Mei by surprised and he's the one who have the control of the situation, he tells Mei about the story of her father's death, but he's lying.] "You see, your father didn't let me the choice. He knew I would take control and he didn't like the idea that I command him. So he tried to kill me but not the smart way. So I took the lead, and I have to kill him before he tries again."
[Still upset that Mei did find him and screw some of his plan, he ask if his plane ready, speaking french and english at the same time. Inspired from Vigo's reaction on the parking lot in the first John Wick movie] "PUTAIN ! Now this bitch came back, I look like a dumbass...IL EST PRET CET AVION OU MERDE ?!"
[In the plane, Laurent is hit, weak and he is loosing blood. Mei inform him that she knows the real story of the death of her father. Laurent try to scare Mei by threatning her while he's about to die] "When I'll escape, the world will not be big enough for you to hide in !"
Callie is one the of singing sisters. She did contact Mei to get back a briefcase full of intels in hands of bad guys.
She's nervous and not feeling well with that kind of stuff.
20-30 Years Old

[A bit surprised] Well…I was not expecting a girl to handle this kind of… job…
[She talks about her sister who's in danger, Mei actually think that she is the one to kill] "What ? No ! Of course not ! I didn't mean that ! *sighs* I mean, she's got trouble…and I need help to fix it"
[Nervous, she tries to escape as soon as possible the conversation, since she's not feeling well doing that] "Litsen whatever what you're about to do to help me out, I'm ready to pay. And I'll do anything if you can keep the secret about this contract !"
Sho is Mei's father, killed by Laurent years ago. He appears in a flashback and a vision.
He's very protective over Mei.
40 Years Old.

[Hurt and grunting after his car exploded on him, he tried to comfort his daugther] "It's...it's going to be alright Mei...stay with me sweetie ! It's gonna be alirght !"
[Same here, but this time, Laurent approach Mei with an axe and cut her hand off] "Wait wait...hold on man ! DON'T YOU TOUCH TO HER ! DON'T DO THIS ! NOOO !!!
[When Mei feels weak, she have a vision where father is encouraging her] "Mei, you are my daughter and I love you but you need to take that decision. Are you gonna stay like this, and swallow that blood in your mouth ? Or you gonna spit it out, stand up, and go spit his..."
Larry is a biker and one of the Tekila-la customer. He often drink too much and becomes aggresive, thinking he can beat everyone.
In the machinima, Larry is drunk and get on Mei's nerves when he saw her driking a soda.
(Drunk) “Hey look at this girly drinking a soda. Seriously Henry, is this what you are doing now ? Serving shits to losers ?”
(Drunk) “This is a bar fucker, not a kindergarten. That bitch better leave if she thinks she’ll get another of those shits ! We drink alcohol here ! Not this kind of crap you little pussy ! I bet you spend your time at your fucking parents house and they don’t let you out ‘cause your just a little whinny bitch”
This goon is a guard at the door of the hangar making sure no one is trying to get inside.
*Say something you think would fit*
That goon is watching TV while he hear a screaming. When he asks what was the noise, another goon (GOON 2) tells him to check it out.

(He approaches and sees his buddy dead) “HEY GUYS ! I THINK ALEX JUST GOT AN ACCIDENT !”
This goon is watching TV aswell, and is also worried when he hear the screaming. He tells GOON 1 to check it out where it came from
"You. Go check it out !"
“Just shut up and do it !”
He the pilot of Laurent's plane. He respects him and care about his life.
(Laurent yells to take off) "RIGHT AWAY SIR !"
(Mei killed everyone in the plane, except him and Laurent, so he's acting, thiking to kill her right after) “Done…please…don’t kill me…I have a wife…and I have kids…and…and I have…”
