Truck Driver 1 is a supporting character. He only appears in the trailer.
Hey, dude. Have you been drinking?
Of course its a problem! You're driving a truck full of expensive and vintage equipment!
How do you not see where the problem is?
You're driving this truck in the middle of a storm! You're gonna crash the truck!
Know what? Switch spots with me. You're clearly not cut out for this.
Hey, give me that! Hand it over!
You're gonna crash the damn truck!
LOOK OUT!
The second Truck Driver is an alcoholic middle-aged man. Clearly from the lines here, he's a very reckless man.
Yes, I have. So what? Is that a problem?
Its just old jars of candy and oils and some older tech. It can all be replaced easily.
Because there is no fucking problem!
The roads look dry to me, boy. Quit your whining.
No! I'm the driver here! You stay in your cheap seat!
I just told you! NO!
THE TRUCK IS FINE!
WHAT ARE YOU-?
Karl Maylin is the protagonist of 2030: His Return. He's a fairly monotone character. He isn't the happiest, but he's not the moodiest.
The role of a security guard is to do what the name describes. You guard whatever you're meant to. I'm a security guard here in Hurricane, Utah. My employer told me this job would be difficult because of thieves trying to break into the storage building. I've been working this job for around Two Hundred days now and nothing has happened. I've slept through half of my shifts. And I thought that this week would be the same. Just nothing to do and to just sleep. But then I received a message from my boss, Jerald.
Jerald told me about a truck that had crashed during last night's storm. The driver was drunk and wasn't careful. All of the truck's contents have been moved to Hurricane Storage Facilities, which is where I work. I work in Section C. One of the artifacts salvaged from that truck astonished me.
It was a yellow bear animatronic. Its estimated age is about 50 years from what my boss has told me. It had mismatching parts though. But why it was on that truck? I heard the stuff inside of it was being shipped off to a museum in California. The animatronic's estimated value is around 5 grand. Considering the age and that tests show it may still work. I didn't think I'd have to deal with this animatronic at all during my shift, since it was being stored in Section B. Oh, how wrong I was. My name is Karl Maylin and this is my story.
