100 Years of Magic: The Wonderful World of Disney Fandub Project
Project Overview
"I only hope that we never lose sight of one thing: that it was all started by a mouse."
October 2023 will mark 100 years since the inception of The Walt Disney Company. In conjunction with this, we are embarking on an ambitious endeavour, but one that we hope will bring together a large community of voice actors who have grown up with the mouse. The intent of this project is to celebrate the many achievements of Disney over the decades and dub/cover several iconic scenes and songs from the many films, shows, shorts, video games, comics, theme parks and more. This project is intended to span from September 2022 through November 2024 and give our existing and future team of talented VAs an opportunity to add their contribution and bring the magic of Disney to life with their own voices.

Please be prepared to record upon being cast, as production for these scenes will begin as soon as we've gotten all the lines needed to complete them.

Requirements
- Higher end USB microphone or XLR setup.
- Use the reference -
Our goal with these dubs are to get as close to the original as possible. That includes performing line inflections as faithfully as we can to the original. It is of the upmost importance that you follow the reference, every grunt/sigh/effort that is heard in the reference, MUST be performed, matching timing as closely as you can. Every scene is and will be scripted and time stamped for your convenience. - Dedication/Communication -
We're all incredibly passionate about this project and want to make it as great as it can be, we're doing our best to get everything out as quickly as we can. With that said, we understand if you're unable to record or need more time, and we're more than happy to accommodate. However, if you're cast, be punctual about your lines, if you don't meet deadlines, and don't communicate with us (should you need an extension) you will be recast. - *Please note that for many of these roles there may be long periods between scenes - the order has been picked at random. Ideally, this will lighten the workload of our entire team, but we ask that you remain committed to this project through to the end. On our part, we will keep you informed if there is more to come and approximately when it can be expected.*
Acknowledgements - Slow Progress -
Only audition if you understand that there will be periods of time where progress is very slow, we all have lives and are doing as much as we can. Slow as it might be at times, our track record speaks for itself. - Scripts
The scripts are being created several scenes ahead so we can keep production going as smoothly as we can, that way we're not waiting on any actors to finish their lines. If there's a script ready to be recorded for, you're expected to meet the deadline.
