Daniel O’Donnell is a film and theatre actor, producer, playwright, and director, working out of Columbus, Ohio, with an undying drive to entertain people. His mother will go on the record to say that he has been dancing since before he could walk. Being born in a large, energetic, Italian and Irish family, Daniel is no stranger to telling stories. Through theatre,he found a way that he could do just that; as well as meet outstanding people, and grow as a performer.

Although he has always been interested in acting, Daniel did not get involved with theatre until his sophomore year of high school. However, he was a part of choir and concert chorale since seventh grade. The sudden change to want to pursue an acting career happened around the same time that Daniel joined the show choir group known as the ETC All Americans. It was here that Daniel’s performing abilities started taking shape. From his sophomore year to the present day, Daniel has been working hard to craft his talents into something that can change the world for the people around him.   

Daniel graduated from Kent State University with his Bachelor of the Arts Degree in Theatrical Studies. Ideally, Daniel would like to work as an actor for both film and stage performances. But, a big dream of his is to work with such screenwriters as The Coen Brothers because he admires their creativity. Daniel has been writing pieces for as long as he can remember, his earliest being “The Greatest Christmas Skit of all Time” back when he was nine years old. Since then, he has submitted multiple pieces to one act theatre festivals.

 A jack of all traits, Daniel has also spent a large amount of time behind the scenes. Everything from casting, to crew, to directing. He has even produced a plethora of pieces, most recently including his founding and producing of Kent State’s first ever Student Only New Works Festival. This event was a festival of multiple plays that were; written by, starring, and directed by, students of Kent State University. Daniel owes everything to his supportive family and friends who drive him to keep getting better.
