@ninaealvarezWriter & Producer of the 90s-Inspired Ghost Story Anthology SPARTANS! and the Camp Cosmographia Radio Campfire Stories Series
Hi, I’m Nina Alvarez — a writer, publisher, and producer with a background in theater, publishing, and audio storytelling. I’m the founder of Cosmographia Books, a small press celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2025, and the creator of the audio series WKOZ Camp Cosmographia Radio.
As a playwright, my work has been staged at the RAPA East End Theatre (full production), GeVa 2 Pages/2 Voices Festival, and the 24-Hour Plays.
I bring that same love of dialogue, performance, and atmosphere into my audio drama storytelling and sound design. In addition to writing and producing, I have hands-on experience with video and sound editing, and I enjoy collaborating with actors to bring scripts to life.
I love working with talented voice actors who can capture intimacy, wonder, menace, and tenderness: the spirit of the campfire story.
CURRENT PROJECTSMy current projects are SPARTANS! and Camp Cosmographia Radio Campfire Stories.
SPARTANS
SPARTANS! is a teen ghost story anthology set in the 1990s — think Are You Afraid of the Dark? meets grunge mixtapes and haunted high schools.
Each episode has a different narrator, and the series will premiere the second-to-last Wednesday of every month with commercial music on Substack at The Cosmographia Codex, a community of readers and writers—and then a few days later on major podcast platforms (Spotify, Apple, etc) without the commercial music.
