About mrpufftin
Hello, I'm MrPufftin. I'm Filipino by blood, but I lived my whole life in Hong Kong, China (GMT +8) since birth.
I aspire to be a voice actor, but that being said, I have no professional background experience. I'm a little over my mid-20's as of now and so far I've only done silly voice imitations and impersonations with/of the people in my life. Despite this, I'm hoping that it's not too late to start.
As I'm just starting out, I'm hoping to gain experience, and in time with a great deal of effort, I can make it through.
Here are some things about me that I feel may be useful to know:
-
I am fluent in English. I don't have an accent (or maybe I do but it's called the North American accent) I can perform other stereotypical Asian accents in English (Hong Kong Chinese , Indian, Vietnamese, Philippines). With focused practice I can learn others if necessary.
-
I can speak Cantonese (Hong Kong's dialect) to the point that it sounds authentic, but I am not fluent in the sense that I can hold a deep conversation with someone, but fluent enough for people to mistaken me for a local. I can speak it, but not read it. If I had to read something, I would use my app to assist me. -
I am currently learning Japanese, and I'm hoping to use it in the future--though I am still terribly basic with it, however if you asked me to imitate or repeat a line, I can probably pull it off and sound authentic with a few minutes of practice. -
I have very light knowledge of French (having learnt it throughout my childhood), but forgot the majority of it due to it being generally unusable here in Hong Kong. - Last but I guess the least for me, just to put this out there, I can, but barely understand Tagalog (Main language of the Philippines).
Pleasure to be working with you all!
