Art & Cartoons

I've been drawing since 2016. Since then, it's been quite the fascinating hobby for me. Although my projects have been realized in somewhat intermittent intervals, I still found my way and developed my personal art style. As of recently, I also draw more traditionally: with pen and paper. Furthermore, along the way of finding my style, I've also learned to decompose my surroundings into abstract, primitive shapes. Thus, helping me to construct realistic drawings.

I've always had a passion for Cartoons. I didn't only grow up watching them, but also my very first drawing what I would call "a great achievement" - the cornerstone of my artistic career - was a cartoon character. And that character's undergone various name and design changes, until I stuck with a design I really liked. The nature of wacky, albeit serious Cartoons has always been enthralling to me, how one can push their creativity to such an extent, so that it defies logic and the boundaries of our reality. Or do they prefer to stay within the limits of reality, since it's up for the individual creator to choose. That's, what I think, makes Cartoons great. The options are limitless. And I strongly believe, we'll never run out of ideas.

Voice Acting

Although I haven't been doing voice acting for so long, there too was this sense of fascination and the rampantly burning question of "Whose voice is this who I'm watching on TV?". May it be Cartoons or Live Action: using your voice and having the power to change it, so it fits the right character, is a concept I wish to attain as well. And I did, somewhat, it's still very hard for me to decide whether or not my voice and Austrian accent is really fit for a solid voice acting pursuit.

So far, I have the power of doing voice impressions of these characters:

  • Squidward from Spongebob Squarepants

  • King Julien from Madagascar (the accent)

  • Yellow Guy from DHMIS (Don't Hug Me I'm Scared)
