About Mike Thoms

Mike started life from humble beginnings as a baby. Since then, he's developed a sense of humor that's not for everyone. He enjoys theatre and voice acting quite a bit. He was previously seen shopping at Target or Goodwill and probably in a parking lot walking to his car. Forthcoming for Mike is a limited engagement at a McDonald's drive thru.

Every word of this is true.

What Mike Thoms is looking for

I'd like to branch out as much as I can.  I love acting and creating.  I'd like to move in to audiobooks more frequently and to keep learning all I can.

Mike is a fantastic actor who works very hard to bring smart choices and professionalism to every session. I wouldn't hesitate to work with him again.

I've both directed Mike ("MOTHER," She Wrote) and worked alongside Mike as a fellow actor (Midnight Burger). The first time we worked together, I watched Mike play a dual voice role - two characters who worked in tandem and played off of each others sentences (like Mr. Wint and Mr. Kidd in Diamonds are Forever) and Mike didn't miss a beat. He didn't do them one at a time, he went back and forth with himself, as two distinct voices with a shared regional dialect. His performance was fantastic and hilarious, filled with nice Southern US regional pronunciations and cowboy-isms. I was so impressed, that I was determined to work with him on one of my own projects, albeit with a very different tone.

Mike is extremely open to direction and will learn and self-teach a dialect if he doesn't know it. I cast him for the combination of gravel and tenderness that live equal parts in his voice, and gave me eye-tearing, heart-rending monologue and dialogue performances. He's passionate, polite, and dedicated to giving his all to directors to ensure they've got his best performance.
