@samuelfarrugiaVoice Actor, Sound Designer & Historian: Specialties in Horror, Audio Drama & Historical Accuracy
I am a voice actor, sound designer, writer, and military historian in my twenties, with a passion for modern history and weird fiction. I am, moreover, visually impaired. With extensive experience in the performing arts, encompassing stage productions across seven years of work, and a deep love for the writing process and all things creative, attention to detail and quality are the two things I always seek to bring into my work.
General, semester-based courses in theatrical acting.
I have attended local classes in stage performance from 2021 until the present, in which capacity, as an acting company, we staged several productions for local audiences, such as Kieku and Grieden.
As I am actively building my portfolio for work outside of theatre, and I am moreover sympathetic to indies everywhere being a creative myself, my rates are negotiable depending on what one wishes of me: acting, audio work, writing, and scale. Generally, voice-acted work will be charged on an hourly basis of 75 euros per hour of work in a live session or comparable for privately recorded and finished audio, with extra charges if the audio is expected to be cleaned, mixed, and refined by me prior to sending. In cases where per-line models are more viable, these shall generally be billed at three euros per spoken line and comparable for sound effects depending on length and complexity. Of course, who you are, your project and budgetary situation will all influence any agreed-upon price. I will not be taking a pound of flesh from projects with limited resources, and if negotiations are discussed equitably and reasonably, there is quite a bit of room for adjustment.
My bread and butter is in the collaboration on audio dramas, historical projects, and video games. Anything with a horror, weird fiction, or military history tilt falls well within my soft spots. Narrative, character, or sound design work are all fields I lay my hand to, along with consultancy on military matters post the Napoleonic Wars, particularly with reference to the 20th century, as well as disability from the perspective of a fully blind individual.
