Matthew Charette
@matthewcharetteGrounded character voice actor | Conversational narration | Clean home audio
Hi, I’m Matthew Charette, a voice actor with a grounded, mature sound and a strong interest in character-driven storytelling.
My strongest lane is intelligent, restrained performance: veteran commanders, weary professionals, dry cynics, thoughtful heroes, and quietly dangerous antagonists. I also enjoy conversational commercial, documentary, explainer, audiobook, and corporate narration.
I record clean 48 kHz/24-bit mono audio from a quiet home setup. I take direction seriously, make targeted adjustments quickly, and can provide alternate reads when a project needs them.
I’m currently building professional credits through paid indie games, animation, audio drama, and narration.

Ongoing training and practice in microphone technique, natural and conversational delivery, character performance, cold reads, commercial narration, documentary and explainer work, and audiobook narration.
Flexible for paid indie projects. Rates depend on script length, usage, turnaround, and performance requirements. I’m happy to discuss scope, revisions, and recurring work before recording.
Paid indie games, animation, audio drama, commercial and explainer narration, documentary work, and audiobooks.
I’m especially interested in grounded science-fiction and fantasy roles, mature authority figures, dry humor, emotionally restrained characters, and recurring collaborative projects.
Long term, I’m working toward professional actual-play tabletop performance, bringing character acting, improvisation, and collaborative storytelling together.
