Jacob Merwin

I began my classical training at a young age and was performing Shakespeare by high school. At sixteen, I trained in stage rapier combat, sparking a lasting passion for sword fighting. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts from CUNY Brooklyn College in 2016, where I performed in productions frequently described as Off-Broadway quality.

I later moved to the Republic of Ireland to pursue my Master’s degree in Theatre Practice & Production at the University of Galway. During my time there, I expanded my training to include two-handed longsword and continue to work in the theatre.

In 2019, I returned to the United States and relocated to Portland, Oregon, to be closer to family. After taking time to write and publish my first book, I moved to Arizona and later returned to Oregon, settling on the Tillamook Coast.
