About Laura_Pirard
My name is Laura Pirard, and I am an actor, voice actor, and screenwriter living in New Mexico. I began formal study of acting at Albuquerque's Sol Acting Academy back in 2009. Over the past few years, I've been developing a keen interest in video game voice acting and have been working to improve my all-around acting skills in order to someday book with some of the game studios I admire most! My most recent class toward that end has been a six-week animation voiceover bootcamp with Michelle Campbell. My most frequent method of practicing voices comes by playing and dungeonmastering Dungeons & Dragons, as well as reading aloud and auditioning whenever possible.
Outside of acting, I am currently studying at Grand Canyon University, on track toward a Bachelor of Arts in Digital Film with an Emphasis in Screenwriting. I am a member of the Army National Guard, serving with the 44th Army Band as a trombonist. In my previous trip through college, I studied music education for eight years and got into the entertainment industry as a composer for short films. I've also been a boom operator and in-a-pinch PA on set.
