John has a wide range of vocal characteristics, with his voice being described as confident, warm, compassionate, knowledgeable, energetic, youthful, authoritative, and clear.

John got his start in voice acting in an uncommon way for a historically significant event - the celebration of the 237th birthday of the United States Marine Corps. John was approached by his leadership for his presentation skills and having a voice that was clear and articulate, which led John to run the narration and control the ceremony of his unit's birthday ball. Exceeding expectations of himself and the Command Staff, John was made to vocally perform all retirements, award ceremonies and changes of command for his unit, and reprised his role in the 238th birthday ball. This continued until his honorable discharge from active duty in 2015.

Since hanging up the uniform, John continues to use his vocal talents to bring client satisfaction. John has vocally performed in collegiate presentations and conferences, delivered vocals in multi-hour, multi-million dollar sales pitches, voiced internal training and educational videos, and performs top-tier bedtime stories for his children.
