@jcmorrisFreelance voice over artist seeking to collaborate with new creators on independent projects, both paid and unpaid.
Hello, fellow artists!
My name is Caleb, I'm an amateur freelance voice over artist looking to build a community of new and aspiring creators and collaborate on projects that people care about. Rather than just looking for work or trying to build a professional portfolio, what I'm really focused on is finding opportunities to engage with passionate, creative individuals.
A lot of folks seem to think that the way to find success in artistic pursuits is to make "in-roads" with someone who they perceive has already "made it" in their career, and then ride their coattails to success. I am of the strong opinion that this could not be further from the truth. The truth is, the best way for me to pursue artistic success is to connect with other people who are in my same position (which is to say, a position of relatively little experience), supporting each others' creative goals and encouraging each others' passion for art. Before director Wes Anderson and actor Owen Wilson began their longtime professional partnership on the screen, they were college buddies in a creative writing class together. Actors Matt Damon and Ben Affleck were childhood friends sitting at a school lunch table and brainstorming scripts together long before either of them garnered the success and accolades of their respective careers.
My point is this: to be an artist is to be a collaborator, and to be a collaborator is to be a member of a community. With that in mind, I want to focus on finding communities and cultivating them into positive, creative spaces where artists can support each others' passions. Who knows... it just might be the case that the "success" we were looking for really was the friends we made along the way.
With my most sincere support and encouragement, and wishing you the best of luck in whatever you decide to create. I'll see you out there!

Interested in both paid and unpaid work. My rate is directly proportionate to the project's budget, even if there's nothing in the budget for vocal work.
Eager to collaborate with artists and creators on a variety of projects, including (but not limited to): visual novels, fan dubs of animated content, dubs for web comics and manga, audiobooks, narration, and independent game development.
