James Mazzarisi

I’ve loved all types of media since childhood. My own creations started with recording a few funny moments in video games, taking pictures of films on an Nintendo DS, messing around with a home camera, editing family vacations of Aruba/Italy on a current iPhone using the basic camera app, coming up with a Rosa Parks movie in History Through Film class from high school, and even one of my friends ran his own YouTube channel. I wondered how people make stuff, but never advanced in that time. That changed in 2020 when one of my brothers told me to “Expand your horizon” where I happily invested in media I’ve never seen before and went to college for film in which cinematography/editing became my main skills. It took a long time to start this, but it’s my greatest achievement. After graduating with a Digital Filmmaking degree in May of 2024, I’m now reviewing films on Letterboxd, still making short films/YouTube videos, and am connecting with a lot of people
