Flloyd has been working as a freelance actor and voice coach for over 50 years. Australian born, came to the UK in 1966, married a Scot and settled in Scotland. Worked in touring and fringe theatre, taught voice skills at Coatbridge and Langside Colleges. Returned to Australia in 1996, studied clown with Ira Seidenstein, taught voice at QUT, acquired a BA Hons in Philosophy and Music at the University of Queensland, followed by a PhD in Theatre - "Shakespeare's Voice: A Theory of the Voice in Performance". Returned to the Uk in 2015 to teach voice at E15 Acting School (Southend), moved to Liverpool in 2017. Now write, voice and produce the audio fiction comedy podcast "Am I Old Yet?" with volunteer guest VAs. It was shortlisted for an Independent Podcasting Award in 2024, and for a Golden Lobe in 2025. Now semi-retired, Flloyd still performs, and takes on clients, coaching them in pure voice, acting, clown and Shakespeare performance online, and in person.
