Laura Thornton

I am a Christian who loves animation, stories, and adventure. I enjoy bringing life to a scene by voice, art or prose and am very good at following direction and taking constructive criticism in order to improve my craft. Some of my hobbies include: learning Japanese(likely via watching anime), crocheting, and playing with my cats.

As an aspiring writer, I have completed five books to date, and have self-published three of them, which are currently available on Amazon. I also have skill as a graphic artist, and am adept at creating works both digitally with Photoshop and traditionally with physical mediums. My acting experience comes primarily from my work at  summer camp, memorizing (and often improvising) gags and dramatics to perform in front of large groups, in addition to running a homebrewed tabletop role-playing game and playing all non-player characters. I welcome the opportunity to do slightly more serious and sustained roles, but do enjoy creating specifically for the pre-teen, mid-teen audience.

I am honest, and will always hold to my principals.* Collaborative work is very enriching for me, and I enjoy working on projects where the group can offer suggestions and criticisms for the mutual enrichment and improvement of the end product and each other's personal efforts--whether that's pointing out a plot hole or out of character moment in a script, or suggesting a new direction for a line in order to maximize its impact.

*Please note that I personally do not swear, and prefer to be part of projects that would be rated PG13 (with some exceptions(i.e. murder mysteries)) or younger. Thank you.
