Eden Gabay
Eden Gabay
@edengabaySeriously Versatile, Multi-National Voice Actor
With a love of the classics, and a particular knack for comedy, Eden Gabay is a man of many voices, dialects, and impressions. He attributes this to his diverse background—with an English father, an Australian mother, Spanish, Ladino, Scottish and Irish grandparents, while living and training in the USA—he grew up listening to and speaking in multiple dialects. Combined with a nearly five octave singing range, the ability to sing multiphonics, and acclaim for his live and recorded vocal/performance poetry pieces, such as the "The Flowers of Waiting" (Sydney), “Four Seasons: Love Laid to Rest in 154 Sonnets” (New York), and “The Milquetoast Trio” (Amsterdam), Eden's versatility, diligence and dedication to the art of voice is unparalleled, and he has recorded 23 audiobooks for USA Today, Amazon, and NYT Bestselling authors in the last 10 months.
Recording setup is a Neumann TLM-103 through a USBPre2 and Avalon V5, plus a dedicated fully soundproof booth at VoxpodNYC with IzotopeRX11, Waves Vocal Rider with world class production and post-production. Also works with an (equally versatile) duet partner for Male/Female duet pieces, we record in the same booth at the same time with the same quality as my solo work. Can compose music, use sfx, and am open to making anything really ambitious happen.
Natural dialects (where I've read lead narration in an audiobook) are: General British, British RP, General American, New York, US Southern (rhotic or non-rhotic), Californian, Cockney, Australian, Irish, Scottish, Russian, French
Additional Dialects (which I've used for a substantial character): German, Italian, Spanish, Welsh, Northern British, Scouse, Newcastle, West Country, Appalachian, Mid-Western, New Zealand, Canadian (Toronto), Transatlantic, Northern Irish, Dutch, Scandinavian.
Magna Cum Laude, specialised in Classical Theater, Experimental Theatre, Film and Voice Acting
$200-400 Per Finished Hour for long form projects (e.g. audiobooks, depending on involvement in post-production, SFX, Music, etc.)
Otherwise, I fall in line with the industry standard rates for Full Time Voice Actors as listed here: https://www.thevoicerealm.com/voice-over-rates.php
I currently narrate 30+ audiobooks for bestsellers a year in a multitude of dialects, also do podcasts, animations and radio plays. Would love to expand to interactive media (video games) and any other form of passionate storytelling.
