Born and raised in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, I still live in the Northwest Florida Panhandle with my wife where I am a proud father of two kids and a stepfather to one. I got started in radio in the mid 90’s, just after Hurricane Opal in Destin, Florida for WMXZ Mix 103.1 doing overnights and weekends. I did very little production, but there was something about it that made me want to learn more. After a short stay at Mix, I landed on the doorstep of The Radio People/Holladay Broadcasting in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. I worked weekends and fill-in on WKSM 99 ROCK, WZNS Z96, and was a road tech to ALL stations (WYZB Country 105.5, and WNCV LUV100). After a few years, I landed full-time on Z96 in the summer of 1999 doing nights and since then; I’ve done afternoon and morning drive and can now be heard during the "midday workday" from 9 a.m. till 2 p.m. During this time, I became well versed in production. I was trained on carts, half-track, four-track, the Roland DM 800, and Cool Edit Pro/Adobe Audition. I have written and produced commercials and have also been responsible for producing a lot of the station imaging (sweepers, ID’s, Promos, contest stagers, etc.) It was during this time that I learned I loved voicing spots, doing character voices, and making my voice do things that would get any kind of reaction from my kids or anyone in earshot.
