I use a Fifine condenser microphone and Ocenaudio for recording as well as Bandlab. When I am on my college campus I use a Neumann U87 microphone for recording and mixing in Logic and have access to a professional recording studio. In my dorm I have a space that's well padded and tunes out extra noise/background audio very well.
