@asotogimenezHi there! My name is Alé Soto-Gimenez (they/them) and I am an upcoming 26yo Pinoy VA/VO from the West Coast. I am an early-career voice actor and editor, getting into the game about ~2.5 years ago.
Thanks for checking me out! By training, I am a scientist and science communicator, holding a MS in molecular and cellular biology, but have always wanted to pursue VA/VO work. Despite my beginnings as a self-made voice actor without any professional training, my goal is to work with what I have and eventually build up the resources, talent, and courage to start my own audio drama network.
Currently, I work as an audio/SFX editor and occasional voice actor for Motzie Dapul's "Hi Nay" audio drama. Translated to “Hi Mom”, Hi Nay is a Filipino-led analog-style, supernatural folk horror anthology podcast with an overarching plot.
Most recently, I voice acted and voice overed for the Toxic Tour (https://discover.stqry.app/tour/26414) and Toxic Tales series (in development) for the East Bay Regional Shoreline Alliance.
