Brief Intro
I'm just someone with an absurdly creative mind (without an outlet) that wants to be a part of something fun. I listen to music (not a lot in number but broad in terms of variety).
Why am I even here?I've always wanted to contribute to something creative, not just a passion project, but a project that delivers something special for both the creatives involved and the viewers/listeners. It's the kind of special that I get from practicing singing or listening to choice music, or the kind I get from going through the God of War series, and listening to every word spoken and observing every bit of body language. And the best way I can do that is to just let myself be seen even a little bit. Basically, this is just a start for me.
The kind of stuff that I like (important for context on myself)I experience media in a way I still don't completely understand. So it's hard to explain what I like in broad strokes. So to narrow it down a bit more, I'll talk about what I do and like.
The technical stuff I enjoyI LOVE messing with new pieces of technology. New audio equipment? New phone? New Idea for a photo or video edit? New idea to implement in OBS or with different software and hardware? I'M ALL FOR IT. I love doing voice impressions, doing improv bits ESPECIALLY unprompted (on command improv in some cases is a bit of a challenge). I'm all for making dumb meme posts and edits and voicing them over. And I love anything audio. Music, singing, voice acting - even if I'm no professional, I've always had a strong reaction to anything auditory. So any piece of media or tech that complements that is extremely exciting. (I just learned I can sort of do that one Ford truck commercial voice with the vocal fry)
(ABSOLUTELY NO AI THOUGH)The personal entertainment sideAs far as personal interests in games and media, I love the God of War series (like insanely so.) It's become a core part of my person, giving me the single quote that I repeat to myself when I have to improve and focus and try my hardest to do something. And that quote is
"We must be better."
. I'm gonna try and spoiler tag it even though it isn't REALLY a spoiler. I prefer letting people experience things themselves, as much as I'd love to ramble about it.
Other than that I very regularly mod and play Skyrim, and I'm so enamored by how it's turned out both functionally and with how far the companion/follower mods have come. Days before writing this I had an emotional experience with a specific follower that completely changed my perspective on how character-based follower mods should be. (A lot of follower mods end up allowing you to brute force your way through different outcomes and it kinda takes me out of it all)
I do also enjoy multiplayer experiences that have some immersive action involved, like with Killing Floor or Valheim. But I don't frequently play multiplayer (mostly due to proximity with friends)
I typically enjoy media that I can take something away from. I very much FEEL what I'm engaging with rather than just observe it as an outsider. Whether I'm playing a game I love or watching something like Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, I don't feel like an outside observer. In that moment, I'm fully immersed and only experiencing THAT. I'm wondering about the world within the show/game rather than even realizing the world around me is still going.
SO...That's all I could write before getting derailed in my mind. Hope this helps.
Anything that helps put bread on the table, if possible. (I'm not picky...yet)
Anything from just providing my voice to a small indie or fan project to contributing to a large team. Whatever comes my way for now. If you are indie though, please just hit me up for voice stuff. Always glad to be a guy in an indie game. The goal is to just have stuff to work on that can lead to voice acting, voice overs, and possibly singing becoming a main thing for me.
