Mim Paquin (she/her) is a New York-based actor, singer, voice actor, composer, writer, and executive consultant working across all media and theatre. Best known for her years concertizing as a singer, as well as various key roles in media projects.

She is a member of Actors’ Equity Association, Dramatists Guild of America, Songwriters Guild of America, Society of Composers and Lyricists, the Alliance For Women Film Composers, Maestra, UAC writers’ group in NYC.

ABOUT ME AS A CREATIVE Hi! I’m Mim! Thank you for visiting! You might be wondering what my natural voice sounds like. The very first words of my Commercial American demo- that's me, or my Documentary Demo- that's me too. My natural speaking voice boasts an impressive range from tenor to soprano. It’s both authoritative and warm, bold yet sweet – sometimes silly – and smooth with a captivating edge.

I’m originally from the historic old “whaling capital of the world,” so my natural specific American accent carries a unique blend of punchy local flavor and worldly, knowing expressiveness. I’m often compared to the voices of Scarlett Johansson, Sigourney Weaver, Jennifer Anniston, and Cate Blanchett. My British RP has a Judi Dench, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Julie Andrews quality.

I do prefer voice acting work that is character-driven using my voice-acting abilities and range. I really enjoy documentary narration too, but as you can hear here, I am versatile and open to all types of work. [I can also sing all styles of music visit my website for more!]

I live in Central New Jersey after having lived in New York for twenty years. New York City is my market base. I’m originally from New Bedford, Massachusetts. My home city is closer to TF Green airport in Rhode Island than Logan Airport, so no, I don’t have a Boston/Kennedy accent. I have one of those down-to-earth, old Yankee, sounds-like-I-went-to-Yale-drama accents. My natural speaking voice sounds like I’m narrating a PBS documentary by Ken Burns or a classic early twentieth century movie broadcast on TCM.

My teenage son describes me as having, "Bugs Bunny vibes" because I do slip into voices to get the point across and I make up songs (I'm a natural song-maker-upper.) Hubby and I are pet parents to a trio of rescues: Rohan the dog, and two cats, Kiko and Sandy. We're a family of creatives.
