Ichigogo
I began voice acting in March 2024, took a break in April, and now I’m back.
Pronouns for the curious are She/They and sometimes He.
As of 4/24/2024, in addition to my voice, I can offer my main recording space of a sound treated closet (that I’m still fine-tuning).
Mics I have access to: the Rode NT USB mini, the Rode PodMic, the Shure MV7X, and my main mic of a Rode NT1 Signature.
I've replaced my old Scarlett Solo with a SSL2 USB Audio Interface
I have been fond of VAs since I was younger (like, growing up, I knew Mark Hamill more as the voice actor for the Joker than as Luke Skywalker), but the short list of VAs I really respect and am inspired by are Kira Buckland, Fairouz Ai, Kayleigh McKee, Veronica Taylor, Laura Bailey, and Stephanie Sheh.
My interests outside of VA include doodling, watching movies and shows (horror and anime are my favorites), and playing Pokemon (currently Sleep, HeartGold, SoulSilver, Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald).
My personal favorite Jojo part is Part 3, but I think Part 4 is the best written and I don’t think Araki has written a bad part.
I’m planning on taking Voice Acting 101 and 201 through Closing Credits in May and June. Before this, I have done theatre and taken singing lessons, but, admittedly, I only watched YouTube videos about VA and read the book by Yuri Lowenthal and Tara Platt, but I’ve never formally taken a class focused on Voice Acting.
I'm a simple hobbyist who wants to try my hand at voicing a variety of different small projects--machinima, comic dubs, other fandubs, original animation, you name it; no matter how weird the project, I’d love to try voice acting in it, just because I really like VA, I love a challenge, and I’d like to get better at making mouth sounds at the mic.
