Course focusing on process and technique for on camera commercial

Using techniques learned in Adult Acting one students prepare and score a monologue for a stage performance. Introduces new acting techniques from Uta Hagen and put into practice through various scene exercises. Students learn to breakdown a monologue as well as their character.

A course that, through exercises, improvisation and work with scripted material, introduces adult theatre enthusiasts to approaches developed by a variety of schools and practitioners of acting. This is a conservatory class to classically train actors with techniques from Stanislavsky, Strasbourg, Spolin, Meisner, etc

This intermediate level class allows adults to build upon the foundations established in Acting 1. Actors will learn and experiment with various methods from the most iconic theatre practitioners such as Adler, Strasberg, Laban, Chekov and Uta Hagen. Students will put their learning into practice through contemporary scene work and develop a solid process for analyzing, memorizing and rehearsing a scene that is shared with the class.

Students will learn the basic tenants of improv, including listening, saying "yes, and…", confidence, spontaneity and working together.
