@2025dcurrie71A Voice Actor with a baritone straight read voice. As well as MANY distinct character voices and several voice accents. Voicing is my passion and I believe that is reflected in my work.
Hello to ALL of you! I'm a down to earth guy who just LOVES to voice! Whether it's recording my straight read voice, a Scottish, British or maybe a Russian accent? Or if I'm recording a villain, hero or wacky character voice. My passion for being a voice-actor is something I discover in myself over and over again. I've been a voice actor for 15+ years now. I have voiced anything from a psa to a full medical documentary. I'm very adept at voicing many different character voices where my vocal range fluctuates from a deep baritone voice to a high pitched cartoon-like voice (something like "Elmo" from Sesame Street.) I've also hosted and co-hosted a few radio shows in southern Ontario, Canada. I look forward to lending my voice/voices to whoever would like to turn their project into something truly special. In some cases I will work for FREE!! Yes, I said: FREE!! I believe in giving back and as such that means "collabing" with those who might not be able to pay with cash? Please just ask. If I can? I WILL. Looking forward to meeting you.
Wishing you all the very best!
Cheers, - Dave Currie - Voice Actor
I have worked for several radio stations in Southern Ontario, Canada. Some of which I was able to pre-record and pass along my shows to each station. Those were essentially small market and volunteer based positions. I also worked for a local medium market station for about a year. I mentioned earlier that I have done some public speaking. I have been the MC for three weddings. I have also been the MC & presenter of awards (3 years) for the Erin Air-Cadets 242 Ross Ferguson Squadron.
My rates are simple, very reasonable and depend upon how detailed a project might be. I'm sure that whatever it is you're looking to have done, we can always work out a price that is agreeable for both of us. It's worth saying and for YOU to take note: Sometimes I will voice a small, independent gig for FREE. As long as I'm not super busy or your subject matter isn't rude, mean or goes outside the regular boundaries for voice-over work. Good luck to you all. Cheers.
The goal here for me is to record, RECORD and record some more! I truly LOVE voicing and really enjoy bringing characters to life and giving life to voice accents. Not to mention bringing life to a script that would otherwise be boring. I will also work on all sorts of projects that I receive from interested producers, content providers and collaborators. I'm up for anything in the voice-over world! Anything from creating a "DJ-Drop" to voicing for a medical documentary.
I joined the "CCC" because it looks like a place where I can be paired up with "like-minded people", possibly an agency, a producer, content provider or maybe even individual businesses and perhaps someone working on a project for their class in high school? When I say businesses, I mean something like a "well laid out commercial" to have aired on local radio stations. Lastly, you ask what do I get out of this?
The more "gigs" I work, the happier I'll be and it's that much more practice that fuels my desire to be a TOP competitive
Voice-Actor.
