Jared Kleinman is Evans classmate and family friend. Initially, he says that he only talks to Evan so his parents will pay for his car insurance but as the musical progress we clearly see that Jared cares about Evan and sees him as his friend, even though he might not admit it. Jared is also adept with computers and technology and helps Evan craft fake emails from Connor.
