You should look into noise reduction in Audacity to get rid of your background noise if you haven't, it can work wonders and it's super helpful as noisy backgrounds for a lot of people are an instant ignore of your audition.
Believe it or not, for the most part, I use noise reduction. This time around I was trying a new method for voice reduction, and apparently it didn't work. Thank you for bringing it to my attention
